Figuerd out a way to get past this... well if you live in Quebec like I do. Series will be aired on RDS 2 which I had to subscribe to and its in French. Canada sucks.
It's really weird. In the States, you get home games on the local affiliate (NBC Sports regional), many games in prime time on NHL Network and NBC Sports national, and then every other game on Center Ice. The first round is an awesome time of year for a hockey fan in the US. Every game in HD for two weeks.

For sure, if I was back home in Vermont, I would just get it on NESN or VS/NBC. Surprised TSN didn't pick this series up which will be one of the best in east. Ottawa vs NY will be a snooze fest.

CBC gets two picks, TSN gets one pick, then CBC one, then TSN one, then CBC one, then TSN two.
CBC took the two Canadian team series, which gave them an early game and a late game. So Ottawa-NYR was gone with picks 1/2 to CBC, before TSN got to make a choice.
At three, TSN took the Crosby game and the best series of the first round, the 4/5 matchup. Easy.
Then CBC took this series with pick four. TSN never got the chance, unless it was to take this series before the Pennsylvania series.
The Bruins are huge in Eastern Canada, but Crosby sells.
Something about seeing "Hockey" "Experts" and "ESPN" in the same sentence makes me chuckle.
Same here. I just ignore anything ESPN writes regarding hockey, even Lebrun. I think the Caps/Bruins series will be one of the better EC playoff series and I am hoping some guys make themselves Caps heroes. I really think Perreault is going make an impact. If Joel Ward goes on a Druce/Pisani type tear, I won't complain again about his contract .
Caps made him sit in the press box to make sure he'd be healthy for the playoffs.
All kidding aside though I rather enjoyed seeing him parked in front of Lundqvist for several good screens last game.
I got a kick out of when he was pushed during the rangers game and he says, "That'll be enough of that". He was about to laugh when he said it, but the reaction was funny.
The Caps reducing Thomas to the above spectacle is a postive, IMO. Add to it the press hounding Thomas about his WH snub and I think the Caps can get into Thomas's head early. So long as they pepper him with shots, and a healthy dose of Hendricks paying Thomas a visit in his crease.

Add in the fans chanting "4 more years" and that might send him over the edge.
My choices based on the options evidently out there based on practice.
1. Neuvy or Holtby
I'd be happy with either but Holtby's puck handling could be something the Bruins don't plan for............or the Caps D. LOL My choice is Holtby
2. Orlov or Schultz
Orlov has had two particularly played bad games IIRC and both came against the Rangers. Hunter is giving Schultz a look evidently. My choice is still Orlov.
3. Aucoin / Ward / Knuble (Pick 2 out of 3)
I appreciate Aucoin but I'd prefer net presence and at least a chance to see what this "playoff Ward" is all about.

IMO The Caps will have to play the opportunistic style that the Habs beat us with. We have to pick our spots, finish when we get the chance and score a lot of power goals. We have to play a clean game, keep skating, no diving and hopefully get the lion's share of the PP chances. Holtby has to be great. Our D is a weakness due either to a) our D men are weak or b) our forwards play so little D or c) our center depth is lacking and can't help on D or d) some combo of all that.
I like BOS when they aren't going against the Caps. Thomas is a great goalie (and is a patriot who recognizes the importance of individual rights), Lucic is a stud PIA to play against, Chara is a beast (we should've signed him for 9mill a year). BOS is a good, good team. My hope is they are exhausted from playing hockey almost non-stop since September 2010.
Also, the Caps do have some talent, too. Ovie is unlikely to get shut down. In fact, I look for him to have an epic series with multi pt games. If we get some bounces early it will frustrate BOS and we'll be in the series.

Anyone else............?????
To start the series only, then we will see:
Holtby
Orlov
Ward/Knuble (need the size and screening ability, by far)
Sarge and Wides today, that may be the right move.
Or are we trying to out gun Boston, and want the extra offense Orlov brings? It looks to me that Orlov will start the playoffs a 7 and primarily our 4th RD on the depth chart. The puck mover depth chart.
Many players step up the hitting in the playoffs. I am interested to see what Sarge does different, if anything. I am still pissed the refs warned him.... i mean come on, do they know anything about him? Besides George wishing to high hell that he was our Chara.
Will it be like previous years, a pirouette and a sprained ankle?
