The other thing that worries me about OTT is that they really know how to play defensively with a lead. Hopefully we don't give them an opportunity to shut down the game with a lead.

For those of you suspecting a letdown down the stretch.

Torts: "We didn't play that bad...This team here, the New York Rangers, can beat any team in the league."
Who cares? Player sound bytes, they said the same crap after the Pitt game. Show it on the ice, not from your mouth.

We can beat any team in the league...

...except there's been way too many stinkers the past month and a half.

They really need to up the intensity. This team is good enough to beat anyone, but not when Girardi, McD and Staal have their heads up their ***** and Hank is letting in Vesa Toskala guys.

Rest hard and come out with a fire. I don't expect them to have trouble against Ottawa.

They know how to transition quickly with the lead. But their D is easily flustered. They are not a good team.

Doesn't mean they can't beat the Rangers though.

I can't work up any hate for Ottawa. If they beat us in the playoffs, the Rangers deserve to lose. As simple as that.

This flip flopping after games is getting really annoying.

we find ways to win and we find ways to get destroyed... Not a whole lot of confidence if we continue this playing style. If we up the ante a whole lot: NY in 5. if not? Ott in 6

I'm not flip flopping, I don't think we are stanley cup team. I said as much earlier. I still think we can get to the ECF(imo, anything less is a faliure).

I love your guys' announcers. When the Rangers played the Sens, they wouldn't stop praising EK. Very different from the Bruins' announcers.

EDIT: Game 1 on Thursday?
I think it will be fairly even. Should be fun. Good luck to you and to us.

BTW... I hate that horn up there. Gives me a headache. Hope we won't have to hear it too many times! Great fans though.

why not?
they lost the season series 3-1 and it took a skills comp to win the 1 game. not exactly dominating by any stretch. If the rangers don't get their **** together pronto they will not only lose but take an absolute beating.

I am just completely and utterly indifferent to them. Good news is if we lose to them it won't be as bad if we lost to the pens, devils, caps, or philly in the playoffs.

It would still be a disaster, but it wouldn't feel quite as bad as it could be.

The feeling is mutual. It's weird.

We've never met in the playoffs, I don't think we've ever gone after each-others players in some major way, we've never really beaten up on each other.

The Rangers are one of the few teams in the East that I've never had any sort of issue with.

I haven't watched any of your games with OTT this season but I see that they took the season series and I've read some of their fans saying that they matchup well with you guys. I look at both rosters and see that you guys have the advantage in offense, defense, and obviously goaltending, IMO. So, what is the deal? Do they matchup well with you guys or is that false?

Yes sir. That`s what they call adapting to the other team.
You got it, send it onto Torts!

Not all the time, but I have been more negative lately.

As I have said, this team has holes that probably have to be addressed in the off season.

The good news is we are getting there. But this team has no reason not to get to the ECF, the east is not that good outside of that atlantic.

They do match up well against us.

Their speed seems to give us fits at time and they know how to defend a lead.

But I think we can beat them if we play out game.

It was in our control and we get IMO the worst matchup we could have asked for. Well done boys.

I sure hope they get their act together.
