Pouliot seemed to find a nice groove on the 4th line. Pretty decent stats, actually, especially considering the coma he was in with my Habs last year. Are Boston fans happy with the guy?

He's on the 3rd line. I'm very happy with him. He's had a revolving door of linemates this year but he's been very good and has great effort every game.

My bad - for some reason I thought he was on the 4th line. Yeah, talent was never the issue with him. It was always the mental gaps. Pouliot and "Great effort" never showed up in the same sentence a year ago!
Interesting to see how the same person becomes a different player when he switches jerseys. We ended up with Kaberle. The jury's still out, but if you ignore his cap hit he actually may fit in nicely as a 5th or 6th D and PP specialist.

The rest don't come close.[/QUOTE
well let's not get totally outrageous about the not even close part.
At least 2 of you little friends will be out in the first round, whoever is left is done in the 2nd round.
Everyone so easily forgets that Elloitt was dominating BEFORE Hitchcock as well.
Roman Cechmanek,Robert Esche, Antero Niitymaki,Roman Turek and Steve Mason all say hi.
The common denominator being that Ken Hitchcock, during his tenure, can make any mediocre goalie look great as a result of his progressive strategy and defensive team approach.
Then, when the players tune him out...he is fired and the team moves on. Then...they need to find a new goalie.
Let's just say that if I was a Blues fan, I would want Halak's 20+ PO games of experience over Mr.Elliott
I' d even say Ryder over Cole by a wide margin. 3,5 Mil. vs. 4,5 Mil and Cole was expected to become a first liner in MTL, while Ryder wasn't in DAL. He had his 30 goal season in 2007. Pretty nice pick up by DAL regarding the price, the expectations and the actual output.

Habs top line would be pacioretty - desharnais-cole.
Don't think we're bringing contact numbers into this, I believe it's production.
Honestly I would say Bryzgalov turned out to be a good signing. Brian Elliot or Mike Smith have been awesome signings though.
You can't really judge Bryzgalov's signing before the playoffs. The Flyers have been a 100 point team before Bryzgalov was a Flyer. They got Bryzgalov for the playoffs because their other goalies just weren't getting it done.

True. Ryder went from Bostons 3rd line top 9 to the Stars top line RW. The guy can still play.
1) Eric Cole - 35 goals!
2) Michael Ryder - 35 goals! 3) Brian Campbell 4) Mike Smith
5) Chris Higgins
6) Brad Richards
7) Jose Theodore
8) Tomas Fleischmann
9) Jaromir Jagr
10) Petr Sykora - 20 goals!
