The way I see it.

We either draft Galchenyuk or Forsberg. Can't go wrong with either one of them, solid prospects.

assuming the Oilers stay at #2, i think it depends on what they want. I'd give, say, 2013 2nd and 4th to switch picks with them, but I wouldn't do the 2013 1st. Gardiner/Gunnar? no. Franson/Schenn? ...maybe...

I don't care who it is we end up with

Even if we win the lottery..

Who do we pick?Yakupov is a winger.Someone should give Burke a pick tonot take the best player available, sure we need a center but that doesn't mean we take one,not at all.BPA is still an asset and dmen can be traded later.Who is ranked 5th?

Galchenyuk is one step closer to being a reality. But I swear if we go back down 1 pick the hockey gods just hate us.

Same number of ROWs. Odd number of head-to-head games so the only game between Ducks and Leafs is discounted. Next tie-breaker is goal differential which the Leafs have the upper hand on Anaheim

tho if we know this why give up more assets to move up when we know they wont be taking a player were interested in since were looking for a forward.

As far as I'm concerned, it's win-win with the 5th overall pick or 6th for that matter.
I'm liking the idea of Forsberg or Dumba more and more as they are much younger then some of the other guys, I dont know the exact cut off date but its looks like if they were 2 months younger they would be in next years draft

Burke knows we need a centre. He WILL make a very strong push to get Grigorenko. I'm absolutely sure.

We could trade with Edm & grab Grigorenko.

Because Habs will take Grigorenko before we get the chance.

You just jinxed us. That pile of **** that montreal would be getting is likely galchenyuk. So assuming your scenario does not happen and we pick Galchenyuk we'd get a "pile of ****".

We have the same amount of row...

We played one game together, so that tie breaker gets scrapped...

We have a bigger goal differential therefore we own the 5th overall draft pick...

at 5 this is the way it should look like: (most likely 3 of those guys will be gone before 5 assuming nail and grigs are locked into top 3, murray/dumba most likely the 3rd of that group)

1. galchenyuk
2. murray
3. forsberg
4. dumba

Last time 2 d-men went in the top-5 was in 2008.

Only 3 drafts in the past 10 years have had 2 d-men go top-5.

I'm not convinced Edmonton or NYI take a d-man to be honest.

My first try the Leafs won.

Don't think nhlmockdraft has the simulator right though (as someone mentioned in the prospects board).
