No, no. They play better when no one thinks they can do it.
Rumor has it that game 2 will be Saturday? I know we all hate matinees, but does anyone know if it looks like a 1:00 game? I hope so, as I'll probably be able to go to that one.

I'm sure it'll be a matinee. NBC loves them some Washington.
I'm still trying to figure out why Bruins fans are "scared" of anyone in the playoffs. We are the defending Cup champs. We know the kind of talent we have. We have the best goalie in the league. Our young players broke out this year to become stars. We have the best defensemen in the league.
It is one thing to know a series is going to be tough and we certainly could lose...but to be scared? I just can't understand it.
The firepower up front is what worries me about the Caps. Also their goalie going on a hot run.
I think the Bruins can win if they pressure the defense. Put the puck in and forecheck hard and hitting often.
I think in the playoffs anything can happen and any team can get hot at the right moment. Caps worry me, but I also think the Bruins have an advantage in goaltending and defense.
As for the Caps having a history of failing in the playoffs-the team has the talent and can score goals in batches, and at some point they are going to pull it together and make a strong run-just hope that time isn't here yet.

Bruins are 6-7-3 vs. the Caps over the last four years. Alex Semin has 14 points (5 goals, 9 assists) in 15 games over that span.
while i'm relatively confident we can win this serious I can see some causes for alarm. Washington is finally healthy (minus goaltending) and is getting hot at the right time (maybe at an even better time than us)
It will probably be a high scoring series, as long as we can score we should win.
LOL at the Sens not being able to pick up a single point in their last three games. Not saying they tanked it, but I think they're actually glad they dropped to the 8th slot.

here's the way I see it, the bruins have the talent, system, and bravado to sweep the caps and make them look stupid in the process
they also have some kind of weird tendency to play like **** against soft fancy teams like this and not impose their will, so if they play like that they could lose in 7
usually it's somewhere in between in these situations so I'm going to say Bruins in 6
win first two, lose 3, win 4, lose 5, win 6.
if the Bruins lose to the Caps it'll be a worse loss than 09 and 10, without question.
