Gotta admit, the Senators recent playoff history is impressive over the last 5 years.........

And even if you go farther back, I thought Ottawa was always know as a great regular season team, but always choked come playoff time?

We've made the playoffs in 13 out of the last 16 years... and if you go back one more year, the Sens went to the SCF. That's more than anything the Rangers have done since 1994.

This is finally getting heated.

Your original point was about playoff success not regular season success. When the Senators were at their peak, they were always known as a great regular season team that choked come playoff team, similar to the Sharks.

Bellow are the amount of playoff rounds won by each team since Ottawa's come back to the NHL.

As you can see while Ottawa has been the better regular season team since 92 - 93

The rangers have won more playoff rounds in less Playoffs. So your point that Ottawa has been the more successful team in the playoffs is wrong.

And actually not even close if you run it on a percentage

Team/Seasons in playoffs/ Rounds Won

NYR: 9 10

Ott: 12 8

NYR: 49 wins in 9 playoffs

Ott: 51 wins in 12

NYR: Win per playoff appearance = 5.444444

Ott: Win per playoff appearance = 4.25

I will though give you that Ottawa has been the better regular season team since inception, according to all the numbers you are wrong

I wish I wasn't so busy, I would make the drive across to Ottawa (3.5 hours the way I drive) and get to finally see a Rangers playoff game live

IMO there is only one good thing about playing the Sens -- I get all the games on CBC with Bob Cole and Gary Galley.

As much as I love Sam, there's no way i can listen to Micheletti in the event the Rangers play poorly.

The Rangers are lucky -- no afternoon games. They have a straight-up no-nonsense playoff schedule for Round 1. That certainly benefits them.

I've been in Ottawa for about 7 years now and a playoff match-up against the Sens was one I'd always wish for. Now that it's reality, I'm extremely pumped! Got tickets to game 3 and 4, and will get tickets to game 6 if necessary!

Sweet, Ottawa really is a great city (am I allowed to say that?)
I found seats behind the Rangers bench, $413 after tax and fee's. I can't find anyone to go with, all my friends are leaf fans

Tell them it's their only chance to see playoff hockey anytime soon.

I'm a Leafs fan, and I'll be going to Game 1.

I will most definitely be cheering for the Rangers.

Will it be appropriate for me to wear my Leafs jersey?

Don't wear your Leafs jersey dude. I find it so retarded when I see people wearing random jerseys at a game which doesn't involve that team. Don't be one of those people.
