Hopefully this team continues to do what they've done all year, and prove the experts wrong. Then again if Ottawa manages a series win it'll probably be chalked up to "luck" and they'll be pegged to go out early in the next round too.
After discussing the use of the term "Rags" with my fellow moderators, the follow stance has been reached:
The term "Rags" will be acceptable to use, ONLY on the Sens board. It is NOT to be used to troll the Rangers fan base on ANY other board.
I apologize for the confusion caused earlier, thank you for your cooperation and understanding for this matter.
Cheers,
SS
That seems to be a reasonable compromise. The other way would be for no shortening of team names, after all it is the Senators-Rangers in this preliminary playoff round. Glad to see common sense finally came out on top.
One random guy voted for Ottawa to upset the Rangers on ESPN, I don't even think the guy follows hockey.
Well, here's a guy on HFBoards (me), voting for Ottawa to upset the Rangers too, and I've been following hockey for more decades than some of you have been around!
Wish I could make the same statement against the Bruins, but that would be suicidal!

You really head over to the sens section and question a sens fans who thinks they can upset the Rangers?
He's got 20 posts and just signed up last month. My guess is troll or sock puppet.
As for the series, my guess is it will either be a very short Rangers win (sweep or 5 games) or an Ottawa win. If it goes to a game 7, I don't think it bodes well for the Rangers.
The current scuttlebutt is that our top prospect (Chris Kreider) is going to sign in a matter of hours. Nobody seems to know whether he'll play or not, but it seems likely (why else would they burn a year on his ELC).
Good luck in the series. At the very least, I hope that it's an injury-free one for both teams.

They don't have to burn a year if he signs. If he doesn't play --> Doesn't burn a year. If they want him to play some AHL games --> ATO and it doesn't burn a year.
I hope he plays though. Increases Ottawa's chances of success.

Most people just say NYR. As for the experts all picking us... they are pretty much idiots anyway. 99% of the experts think the Pens are going to win it all. They're guess is as good as anyone elses. It should be a good, close series. Cheers.
I didnt see the senators sig and his post made it seem like he was just a fan of hockey making his opinion. I wasn't really thinking.

I was just curious on why he thinks sens will win. He said he knew a lot about hockey so i figured i would ask if he really thought sens would upset the rangers

If you win this series it will not be very short, you will have to work your ***** off to win and take this to a game 6 or 7 in order to win.

Anyway, carry on
Its probably not a good idea to make a post like that in the Sens forum regardless of who they cheer for.
