Lundin, Christensen (obviously), Johnson, Ortmeyer, Peters, Foster, Taffe, Veilleux (AHL) + some AHL players.

IMHO.

Agree with this list, except I feel we bring back Foster. Not a top pairing defenseman by any means, but I think he could provide some depth (if not stability) to our blueline. And I'll be sad to see Peters go. It's not often that you let your top line center go in FA for nothing.

If Foster comes back Fletcher really ****ed up in free agency.

Also as far as Foster's stability goes, he had a hurt back for most of this stint with the Wild. At times he would just play offensive zone minutes or the team would roll 4 defensmen.

Agreed. It's a terrifying thought.

What qualifies as ****ed up? Are we under the assumption that we will get one of Suter/Carle/Wideman/etc? If so, I think we are in dangerous waters. Just like many who assume we will get Parise. I'm interested to see what happens (and am not willing to wait!!).

Foster, Lundin, bunch of AHL'ers and depth guys we don't need. Harding.

I think that's probably it, we'll get some of our younger prospects re-upped. The turnover will be mainly on defense and in Houston.

If Foster is the best we can do, yeah, that's #$@!ed up.

I hope GMCF finds a way to re-sign Harding.

I believe it will be Harding's decision though.

Yeah I'm sure Harding is a team guy, but why stay as a back-up when about 1/3 of the league is clamoring for a starting guy and Harding looks to be one of the few in FA this year that can do it.

If Harding won't be back with the Wild, then I hope GMCF will trade his rights somewhere.

On a team that needs`1-2 top-four D, signing someone of Foster's ilk for depth. Especially after how well "going young" on the blue line went last off-season.

Yeah Harding can probably take over for Backs in a year or two, but if the chance is there, then take it. Every goalie's dream is to be a starter not sitting on his ass playing 20 games a year. I'd trade his rights too see if we can pry one more draft pick out of someone this year for the draft.

Ain't wishful thinking. In fact, me saying that probably all but guarantees he plays 82 games next year.

Sounds like Johnson will be qualified. He might be a 13th forward, but I expect him to be with the team next year unless someone trades for him.

Russo's last blog, the one mostly about Lats mentioned he thinks both Johnson and Falk will be qualified. I can dig up the link.

Edit: Here's the link. The relevant quote is

I'd think Johnson, too, but he struggled in the second half, especially in his own zone. There's also a bunch of minor leaguers that need to be qualified.

Zucker and that's only because he's in the AHL and doesn't get called up.

But in reality; Latendresse, Bouchard, Lundin, Christensen, Genoway

I wouldn't be surprised to see Zucker make the team. We have no depth.
