When is the press conference for the end of the season scheduled?? I don't remember is it done before the playoffs or after the playoffs
I'm interested in hearing what Burke has to say, he hasn't spoken much in the last month and every time there is a camera shot of him he looks pissed and so red he could have a heart attack

But this year - I mean, really?
I can't help but feel that we are going to be fed nonsense excuse after excuse after excuse. I feel that it will be more feeding crap to the fans more than anything else.
To be honest, I don't want to hear from Burke. I don't want to hear from any of them. I want them all to just disappear, and have the city be completely apathetic to the situation.
I don't want to see Burke until he's up on the draft floor making our draft selection.
And this is coming from someone whose defended Burke for much of his time here.
Definitely tuning in to this. Burke is going to try and spin the crap out of this season and I want to see him get roasted by the media.
Yes. I think Burke will talk up Gardiner, Marlies and the prospects.
Of course no reporter will be smart enough to ask if they are so great why those prospects couldn't earn a spot on leafs this year ahead of players like LACK. If they couldn't outplay those players I'm not sure what to expect.
Should be entertaining..... I expect Burke to focus on the draft, talk about promoting players next year from the Marlies, mention that we played well 75% of the season but need to work on consistency and something about getting bigger.

Well what is he supposed to say? I really hope a GM never goes out and says "well the team sucked and unless we get really lucky next year the team is going to suck again...". Burke has to talk about injuries, how young our team is, the fact that the Marlies have a legit shot at the Calder Cup and how we have young players in the system that are developing and will challenge for a spot next season. He may also talk about the draft and that he will be listening to offers or if the scouts really like a guy then they may move up or down depending on where that player is expected to be drafted.

I think most people will be surprised about what Burke says. I think he's going to hold himself and the players accountable.
Burke had a vision and on paper it was pretty impressive. Just didn't turn out the way he (and many of us) hoped it did. Even though it really isn't his fault, I think he'll bite the bullet at the year end press conference.
It will be interesting if the media can ask some of the hard questions. I hated his BS answer on one of his last radio interviews when he called the host gutless for asking if Burke was worried about being fired.
I hope someone can ask a similarly tough question that he hasn't rehearsed for. Its annoying when I see him answer similar questions in a pattern. What is the point of listening to brian or the 7 assistant managers if all they do is spout propaganda about the state of this team?

Those picks would all be at the tail end of the 1st round. Price is a top 5 goalie in the league and game stealer. He plays on the Leafs this past season, they're in the playoffs easily.

Hope he punches steve simmons and damien cox, that should get rid of some stress and get us ready for a summer of wheeling and dealing to right the ship that was sailing well enuf to make the playoffs the first 4 months.
