Watching Pens/Flyers last night with the lady. When Danny Briere scores on the breakaway, all I kept saying was, "Wow, I can't believe he managed to keep that onside, that was amazing!" I praised that little ******* for almost 2 minutes straight! Then they showed the replay, and I felt used.

It's funny that the Penguins are considered such a great team, but I just saw their d-man icetime from last night and it's ugly. Even if they beat Philly, I don't see them winning a Cup with that shallow a defense.

What a horrible call. It was so blatant too. He wasn't just a few inches offside. He was about 2 feet offside.

It seems we're on the same page. I can't stand Vancouver, I think they're an arrogant bunch, would love to see Nashville win it all. I hate Pittsburgh more then Philly.

Tonight I want Ottawa, Phoenix, Boston (this is an anti Dale Hunter vote) and I could go either way with St. Louis and San Jose.

The "Three Stooges" movie is opening this weekend. I think it may have been a publicity stunt by the film studio to promote the film.

I feel the same way, and agreed on the picks for tonight as well but I'm pulling for the Blues.

Pens are deadly.

Nash-det is a pretty good battle so far.
Gotta expect the Hab fans had a lot to do with that.

Anyway.. I'm pulling for these guys in the 1st round.

Ottawa, Philly, St. Louis, LA, Nashville, Chicago, Washington and Florida.

I don't think Ottawa or Washington have a chance at all, though. Either way, playoff hockey is like Christmas for me. My wife hates it, but accepts it..
I highly doubt anyone here is rooting for the Rangers.

I have the Pens and Boston as my top two teams from the East and then the Blues and Preds from the West for my playoff pool. So I have to be ok with the Pens winning if it happens.

Weber is a much better version of Hamonic....but they are similar in so many ways. It would be awesome if Hamonic can approach that level one day.

Weber, Suter and Rinne keep Nashville in every game. I love their team, I wish the Isles would build a team like that. Fast, tough, work hard in all zones, are hard to play against.

Side note, if Nashville had a layer like John Tavares they'd be Stanley Cup favourites. With his style and his ability to make those around him better, that extra goal would put Nashville at a whole new level.

I forget where I read how many FIRST GOALS that Tavares/Moulson scored this year, I think it was the highest in the NHL (maybe Stamkos?) but we all know the Isles record in protecting leads.

I think I'm pulling for Nashville in the west.

All watching the playoffs does is remind me how bad it sucks not to be a part of them.

They've been outplaying the rags for most of the game, but wtf man. I said to my wife when it was 1-0 that Ottawa was going to outplay them but lose, but I was thinking it would be 1 or 2 to 0.

Here's hoping for a big comeback in the third. I'm drunk enough for it.

I rooting for the Caps against Boston, but it pisses me off that that would mean success for Dale Hunter. But then it makes me think that it might be a good thing because with Dale Hunter as coach we might see some sort of beat down on the Bruins at some point.

Dudes..watch the Boston game..it's amazing. The caps killed a 6 straight minute penalty and they're killing one now...again. Holtby is standing on his head...

Such a treat to watch the NHL playoffs; find so many players I wish were on the Islanders. Most of the games so far have been real tight.

Speaking of the Nashville JT connection, I wonder what Erat and JT could do together. Erat's creativity, playmaking, and shiftiness would open up space for JT. Also like Josi and Klein's game.

Each one of the lower Western seeds could upset. SJ and LA are BETTER than their record; for years SJ has been a top-2 team with essentially the same roster. The underdog thing might do them well. And LA has too much talent to be merely an 8th seed.

Its crunchtime in Boston now. If it was the Isles playing I would have had 17 heart attacks by now.

Boston wins. Washington always seems to underachieve. Have they ever had any success? damn.
