Mmhmm, when we were short on high end talent we certainly weren't short on grit and effort. This organization can never put all of the pieces in place all at once.

Cause the Rangers also have a GM ... we haven't figured that one out yet.

Missing Taylor Hall already, we have to wait 5/6 more months till he plays a hockey game.

I remember Ryan Whitney saying his shoulder was only 80%.

Get rid of the garbage players, bring in hard working players.

Strip Horcoff of the captaincy and give it to either Eberle or Hall, I'd be real happy with that.

Tonight's game was absolutely sickening, I wanted to beat the Canucks in regulation so bad.

Tambo has his faults too obviously but crap coaching was a big part of the fail this season IMO.
Smyth had a solid year, 38EV pts, great all round contribution, very good on the PK. What were you watcching?

Eager has been junk always and Belanger you might want to check the best before date on that one.

Obviously management is the total fail in this org. We've switched over coaching several times now. Same results. hmmmm.

Science would require selecting a different variable at this point to control out of the equation. Which won't happen here.

Can't believe you buy it though. Management here is ****ed.

I am watching the Kings/Sharks game right now and I can't believe the difference in quality. Same league? Hard to believe.

The only good news is, after this season, the leisurely stroll pace of the rebuild is done.

Tambo has used up every ounce of free passes he has, and now results matter.

Maybe some accountability will creep into this club.

So when are the WCs? Watching RNH and Eberle play with actual NHL players will probably be entertaining, even if it's on big ice.

The Canucks are a really good team and they turned it on in the third period but from our side... I saw a club that curled up in a collective ball right off the drop of the puck and gave up immediately. The Oilers played one of their best games of the past six seasons just a month and change ago against these same Canucks. I know that they can skate with them when they're feeling hungry and confident.

Tonight was a giant "FU, we can't wait for the off-season," to the fans and it sickens me. It's going to be a long, long time before you get my money, Katz.

Smyth had a good year....Eager is a useless hockey player.

The coaching wasn't perfect but it was hardly the reason this team stinks.
If this roster doesn't improve it wont matter who the coach is.

As long as the media keeps coddling them and the money keeps rolling in the leisurely pace will prevail.

Free passes? On any other org in the league he'd be off the plank and in the drink by now.

Cept he's making K Lowe's tenure look good so he's a special darling.

Incompetence loves company. I read that on Dilbert.

Smyth got most of his points early in the season then of course got burnt out due to guess what? THE COACH playing him waaaaay toooo much same with Horcoff who started well and faded and Jones. I watched Eager on other teams and he was a lot more effective there than here instead Renney neuters him for most of the season. Belanger with remarkable consistency scored between 35-40 points for about 8 straight seasons then fell into an abyss here.

Renney was a clueless buffoon all season, a solid coach would have at least had this team playing some kind of system within 2 full years of coaching and would have at least one full line to depend on going into next season. Instead the team has no identity and little team chemistry. Sorry man, a lot of that falls on coaching. There is some talent here to work with.
There were basically 5 players that exceeded expectations 3 of which are supremely talented and would likely succeed anywhere and i suppose Dubnyk as well. A good coach gets the most out of his players, a bad coach gets the least out of his players.

No their just going to fire Renney like some posters are hoping, and blame him to buy themselves more time.
