The Kings have played dominating hockey down the stretch. They lose a game to SJ where the refs call 15 minor penalties when Kings dominated 5 on 5. They lose another game tonight where all 3 goals are unlucky bounces off Kings dmen, despite dominating 5 on 5.
The Kings are playing great, they just got super unlucky these past 2 games
Pretty amusing that that was probably a terrible result for the Sharks considering they were demolished by STL this year
Falling apart like this 2 games in a row, it makes me really doubt that this is a team that can do anything in the playoffs. I hope im wrong. I feel like this team could, playing at the level we know they can, could take either SJ or STL. But the big question mark still remains.
I think we can all agree though, knocking out the Ca*ucks would be feel amazing. And who knows, maybe we get a rematch with the sharks. Im past this and ready for the playoffs!
Sharks turn it on when they want to...they looked absolutely inept in the first two periods of each game and turned it on each 3rd period and erased two-goal leads in each game.
The only solace I can take from these last two games is we didn't have Carter in either of them.
Oh well, really wanted to see the Sharks and Canucks against each other but a series win against Vancouver to begin the playoff run would be sweet.
I do not like the way this team responds to pressure situations. I'm hoping they step it up in the playoffs, but I fear that they blew their gasket just to get into the playoffs. After they knew they were in, their level of effort diminished.
So glad you guys lost that one...sorry but really didn't want my Blues to have to play you in the first round. That said, good luck and take it to the Canucks. If you guys can knock them out that would be absolutely amazing, and I really think out of all the lower seeded teams you guys have the best chance of doing it. Yeah, we've made the playoffs in the last three years but each regular season always ended with us falling in the standings. Always blowing opportunities to gain home ice advantage in the 1st round. Why do we always regress down the stretch?

And in 2009-10, we had a chance to be the 4 seed but we choked it away and gave it to the Yotes. Quick also got stuck at 39 wins.

I am with you, The Blues play an awful style for the Sharks to go up against.
The Nucks, well Might as well get the best team in the west out of the way first right ?
This way you know if you deserve to be in the playoff's at all.
