Although I think Vancouver has too much to overcome for the Kings, it seems as though some fans are forgetting just how improved the Kings are when comparing them to the 2010 team that took the Canucks to 6 games. Just look at the rosters for comparison:
Smyth-Kopitar-Simmonds (Williams was injured and only played in 3 games)
Richardson-Stoll-Brown
Modin-Handzus-Frolov
Clune-Halpern-Parse
Johnson-Doughty
Scuderi-Greene
O'Donnell-Jones
Quick-Ersberg
Scratches: Ivanans, Harrold, Williams (injured)
Now compare that to this year's roster and I would say that the games will be a bit more competitive this year:

The cool thing about this series is the following...
If the Canucks win, no big deal. Most people expect them to win and we've been through it before. However if the Kings win, it's going to be insane. One of those great sports David and Goliath moments.
I would trade our 3rd line this year for the one we had that year.
True, however, those 2nd and 4th lines were terrible and the top line is significantly better with Smyth gone and a healthy Williams. The team depth has improved quite a bit over the span of two seasons.
I bet Penner is going to be on a short leash. If he doesn't do something noticeable in game 1 and the Kings lose, he is likely a healthy scratch for game 2 in favor of Richardson.
We are a much stronger team then when we faced them in 2010 so I like our chances. I hope Richardson plays, he was a beast when we played then in 2010.
Hate the nucks and their fans, let's do this boys!
