Yep, that's a good point. At least they don't have Samuelsson. The quick puck movement when he was on the ice with their other super skilled players in 2010 killed us.
I don't know about that, this series is like putting a welterweight against Jack Dempsey.
I would be shocked if it goes to 6.
Some of you need to dial down the hyperbole and forget the last two games. This is a much improved team vs. the prior two seasons and you think they're going to do worse? They went 6 with no Kopitar last season and the season before was their first ever playoff experience and they went 6.
They are almost 100% healthy and match up well vs. Vancouver. The Kings have their best chance to win a series right now.

Another thing that has me concerned going into the playoffs... Quick's track record in the post season:
4-8 record with a GAA of 3.32 and a SV% of .900. He seems to get rattled during the playoffs and his performance takes a notable dip in high pressure situations.
NOT official, but sched for LA-VAN could go Thurs.-Sat.-Sun.-Wed. Tough scheduling at Staples with NBA. Official announcement in morning.
Wow. Could be a back-to-back with travel? That's stupid.
Both teams are traveling the same though so it all balances out. Not really fair to the fans though. For the ticket prices they are paying they should get a game with rested players.

he was shaky against Vancouver, considering he just had a baby, it was his first playoffs and he had a young inconsistent team infront of him playing a high powered offence, thats understandable.
He was perfectly fine against SJ, he let in 1 'soft' goal i think all series. Remember how many times the Sharks were passing through the seam and tapping in 1 timers with Quick having no chance?
If there is a back to back, and the first of those back to back games goes to 1 OT or more..the loser will be irreparably destroyed. Could potentially be to our advantage, as the crowd could push them through Game 3.

There are two sides to that coin though. He was overplayed that season in the first series he played in vs. Vancouver (arguably overplayed this season as well but he is better conditioned and it shows). The 2nd series with San Jose was minus Kopitar. They weren't going to win a series without their #1 center.
Vancouver is in a lot of hurt minus one Sedin and no Samuelsson is huge. I like our chances.
Who does the US broadcasting of the playoffs? I can't stand Jim Hughson on CBC, so I may skip watching on TV and find a stream online of the US broadcast. Do Bob and Jim get to do the first round?
I'll also have to see if I can mute CBC and synch KTLK's radio stream with the TV broadcast. I don't think I'll be able to, but its worth a shot.
this is actually a really big series. it should determine what happens with quick and management. if the kings get bounced DL should be gone, if quick has another disappointing performance kings might just go with the cheaper option in bernier rather paying quick top dollar.
What should the Kings do with their lineup if Carter is good to go? Scratch Richardson and put Carter back with Richards? Move Carter to the top line and slide Richardson to the fourth line and scratch Nolan?
I'd like to see them deport Stoll to Canada and send Greene back in a time machine to drag his knuckles with his neanderthal ancestors.
Scratch Penner and put in richardson when carter comes back. penner is just doing atrocious
St. Louis and Vancouver are both very strong teams. So are we, we just can't fight. Fortunately fighting means nothing in the grand scheme of things. The Kings main adversary is their own ability to play undisciplined, frantic hockey at the worst of times. Correcting that makes them a REALLY tough out.
I don't think you all realize something ... fans of 28 other teams will be on OUR SIDE ... as NO ONE wants to see the Canucks win ... NO ONE ... everybody hates them !
WE CAN DO THIS !!! STAY POSITIVE ! WE GOT THIS ! GO KINGS !!!
