Kings have been playing borderline dirty of late. I expect that to continue and it could be our chance of winning the series. The B's won the mental battle against the Nucks by playing a similar style.
The B's matched them hit for hit and cheap shot for cheap shot and the 'Nucks caved in game 7. This is a mental battle which can be won by the Kings if they play the way we've seen them play over the last month. Kings in 6.
Wow, as if most of you seriously don't think we have a shot. This is not your typical 1-8 blowout matchup, we've got the players to match against the Canucks. This goes down to the wire, and I think we upset them in 7, albeit it won't be much of an upset because we're a much better team than an 8 seed. Go watch the highlights of 2 years ago, it's not like we were outplayed, we were an inch away from going back home up 2-0 in the series if Handzus' stick wasn't tied up in game 1. Series can go either way, should be a good one
In the West I think any team can win. Hard work and good goal tending will be the key to the series. If the Kings win one up north out of the first two, buy tickets for round two.
Last time we faced Vancouver in playoffs, it was our first playoffs in a decade. We also missed one of our best top-six forwards in Justin Williams. I think we did pretty well!
Then, last year, we faced against the San Jose Sharks without our franchise forward, Anze Kopitar and we matched up well!
Our team is much better this year, especially on the paper!
We can WIN this matchup! Go Kings GO! BELIEVE!
We can't fear any team!
We are the 2nd youngest team in the league, which explains our mental toughness struggles! I think Sutter can play a big role here!
We can beat Vanocuver! In today's NHL there is no real gap between 1-8. We match up well against verse the Canucks and they may be down a major player.
The mental toughiness is concerning! But we've had this problem a couple years now but we always perform above expectations in the playoffs (despite the 1st round exits) remember our top 2 centers were Stoll & Handzus. Now it's Kopitar & Richards! BIG difference!!!!
They were horrible in the last two games, it's like they gave up after clinching a playoff spot.
First season is over and it's a new season and everyone starts at zero. First to 4 wins moves on.
If Sutter can't motivate this "young" core, then changes could be made on draft day. Dean doesn't have many picks, but he can move some roster players.
Go Kings! No predictions from me, just play hard for 60 minutes each night.
