Just thought of all the kids who are probably wearing their Bruins jerseys today & can't watch their favourite player tonite.....it's rediculous.....!!!!!
holy ****, there is no bruins game on TV tonight? I am so pissed.
You know what the more this happens the more I hope CBC doesn't get a new contract or loses a ton of coverage that way TSN can take over.
So I am going to have to depend on some crappy feed?
If you have the following, it'll be on TV. If not, it's the crappy online CBC feed.
Shaw 348 (Shaw Direct), BellTV 217, Rogers 129 (Toronto and GTA), & Telus 217 (Telus Satellite)
If it were a Montreal and Toronto game on at the same time you can bet they would find a way to show both.
Of course they would. They would show the Habs on CBC Montreal and the Leafs on CBC Toronto along with probably the other CBC stations.
But CBC obviously doesn't have a Boston affiliate. They have a mandate to broadcast Canadian content. The Senators are a Canadian team and the Bruins aren't. Complaining about this only makes someone look like a whiner. The game is available online. It is available to the biggest tv providers in the country.

Rogers doesn't provide the channel in Atlantic Canada & I think Rogers is a big TV provider.....
This happened a few times last year with TSN and TSN2. And if you remember I contacted a friend at the NHL office to put pressure on TSN to release the games so they could at least be on Center Ice. (Although playoff games are not on Center Ice)
Unfortunately, she no longer works there. I will almost guarantee that you will be better off contacting the NHL than CBC itself and having the NHL put the pressure on. And if enough people complain, they'll do it.
CBC already has a broadcast team and camera's there, their intermission programs are tape delayed and so on so its not like they have to put a huge investment into this. They have the resources to put it on one of their other National networks (CPAC NewsNetwork etc.) Which they have done in the past.

I have Bell Aliant TV so maybe since they are associated with Bell I might be able to find it. I hope.
Joined the board just to rant about this crap move. The CBC only cares about dollars. If you really want to protest you do not buy anything from advertisers on HNIC. They control things. If the companies who buy airtime are unhappy the CBC will not make the same mistake twice.
The thing is 99% of the people expecting to watch the bruins game tonite have no idea that wont be able to see it, everyone I have talked to had no idea that it would not be shown.
