Yep, Canadian Bruins fans getting the shaft here. Either watch a crappy stream online or an SD broadcast on TV channel that you may or may not even have. Wow.
What a shaft...Can't watch the defending champs in the first round against the former NHL poster boy OV. I live in NB and am 7 hours from Boston, WTF>>>>>>>>
I'm guessing that since there are only 2 Canadian teams in the Playoffs that there will be pressure on the CBC to show both series on the entire CBC network. But until I see otherwise I'm holding out hope that Games 1 and 3 do end up airing here in BC.
Don't make sense for them to bid for the rights to broadcast then ?...
Center Ice doesn't broadcast playoffs games......for cripes sake.......I will freak if there is no broadcast of this series.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I found this on NHL.com website
"With NHL Centre Ice on Bell you get up to 40 key regular season games per week, including a number of games in high definition. Select games from the first and second rounds of the Stanley Cup® Playoffs.
See the best match-ups, including games from VERSUS, NBC and U.S. Regional Sports Networks.
1-877-OVER-1000"
So if they don't show a playoff game this would be false advertising IMHO .
I'd like to thank CBC for picking our series and then relegating it to 2nd class status. If they had left it for TSN they could have put it on TSN2. I'm counting down the days until CTV gets rights and puts CBC out of its misery.
Wow. Now I'm glad I don't have an HD Tv; I'd hate to get frustrated like this if I'd gotten used to it. I watch half of the games on choppy streams anyhow...
I just checked the TV listings and TSN is showing a game at 7:30 on Thursday - I hope this is the Boston/Washington game. TSN is not listed as a broadcaster on the NHL.com schedule but maybe they have made some sort of deal?
Edit: TSN isn't broadcasting it either. This really sucks.

You get really spoiled when you watch HD and then have to go back to SD.
I'm surprised that every game isn't available in Canada...
Here in the US, with the new TV contract that kicked in this year, Every playoff game is on TV somewhere.
It's because CBC had to screw with us and pick the Bruins even though the Bruins play around the same time as the Sens. **** them.
Oh, and they're going to say, "but it's available online" (yeah, but their crappy online feed is crap) or "it's available on CHEX" (well, my cable company doesn't carry that channel).

Maybe find out if Centre Ice can get this game (maybe NESN feed?)?
In the world of Facebook, Twitter and other social media - there must be something we can do by Thursday!
