You do realize the Flyers not only had more PP's than the Pens in the season series, but led the NHL in PP time?

We also led the league in times shorthanded and minors.

In general, when the Flyers are in a game, there are more penalties called...both ways. I don't think that bodes well for the Flyers, and even if it did, I'd rather this series have as few penalties as possible. Good 5-on-5 hockey. May the best team win.

Rangers in 7. Iffy on this one, have a feeling Sens are going to beat the Rangers, this is an even matchup.
Caps in 6. Boston may be done if the Caps are all healthy, Ovi is on a tear of late and a healthy Backstrom look out.
Devils in 6. Fla can't match Brodeur's goaltending.
Flyers in 6. The Pens are in for a shock when Bryz stands on his head, Crosby and Malkin will be shut down.

Nucks in 6. LA? really all they got is a good goalie and some worn out ex-flyers.
Blues in 7. This one could go either way, took the Blues with Hitch on the reins.
Hawks in 6. Phoenix is the same as LA all goaltender.
Wings in 7. Don't bet against Detroit playoff team through and through.

I can't see Washington getting out of the first round especially since they are down to their 3rd string goalie. Glad we DID NOT sign Vokoun! Just another Beezer as I thought. Plus Bob still isn't ready for prime time. Luckily Bryz got his poop together and let's hope he can exorcise his own playoff demons.

Your other predictions I tend to agree with especially LA...Carter has another excuse with his ankle not to perform in the playoffs with any great impact and Richards can only do so much which doesn't include scoring too many goals. Their goalie though should pull out a couple of games for them however.

3) Fairly balanced officiating (not holding my breath)

4) Need star quality offensive production from at least a couple of players like G and Briere to offset the likes of Crosby and Malkin.

5) Special teams!

Prediction: Flyers in 7
Sigh.....

Another one is matchups..especially away where we don't have the last change...

What I was hoping for first round: Flyers, Caps, Panthers, Senators, Preds, Coyotes, Kings, Blues

What I'm hoping for 2nd round:
Flyers, Caps East and the west I don't really care too much. Those 4 are pretty much my favorites in the West (well I just feel sorry for the Coyotes but the rest I like)

For being me, this is really good. I usually suck at making predictions like this.

2nd round (a bit late.. but anyway)

Capitals 3-4 Rangers
Devils 2-4 Flyers

Kings 4-2 Blues
Predators 3-4 Coyotes
