Nice clip. Slick effort on there. Love the announcer though. "This kid is tiny. He looks about 12 years old...." Lol.

I don't see that though. I feel like he's shot up the rankings in the last little while, but he doesn't seem to project higher than Faska. I love Faska's size, strength and poise.

Couldn't agree more. I really didn't follow TT much until lately but now that I am, this kid looks awesome. A little small but it looks like he was actually carved out of a solid block of 'wow'. If he's still on the board at 14, please, please, please......

I agree I would prefer Faska he is big and still has tons of skill. I think he would be a prefect center man between Sven and another higher skilled player. I also like Faska has he is projected around where TT is but Faska is a center man and we need a impact center man on this time.

Agreed. I guess I shouldn't be so mad about no playoffs and a mid round pick, again. We got a great prospect with it last year and there are a few guys who should be around for us this year too. We'll be okay if we can pick a direction to move in but with Brent gone now, that appears to be finally happening.

I'd prefer Faska's size. TT is only 165 pounds and 5'11. He may be putting up decent points (18 points in 40 games), but SM- liiga isn't very physical. With Faska, we see huge size up the middle (TT is a RW) and we know he can take hits without getting scrambled.

I think if we don't have the option of the two, we go with either, but if both are on the board I think we go Faska. Faska is projected to be a big 1C, which I think we have to push for going forward.

You are thinking about the wrong league. The Finnish top league is as physical as the AHL by most accounts.

Here is a recent nice Faska article

You know what? His acouting report is very similar to Ryan Getzlafs draft profile.

As much as I like a big centre, Faksa is projected as a 2nd line center, whereas TT has the potential to be a 1st line RW. Though TT is known for his high hockey IQ, his defensive game is constantly questioned.

For me, I feel like Collberg is the right pick since he contains an 'elite' wrist shot, and is faster than both Faksa and TT. A potential line of Baertschi-Backlund-Collberg would be deadly.

From everything I've seen, he projects to be a 1st line Center.

I am just going to sit back and wait. The guy I want never gets picked, so I am not going to pick someone and just hope the team picks someone that we can cheer for years to come

Personally I like Teräväinen more because
- He is the youngest prospect in the draft
- Has had more success at a pro level then Collberg
- Has shot up the draft rankings despite not playing in the WJC

Also I am not that high on Derek Pouliot, and would prefer Ceci if both were on the board.
while Teräväinen averaged over twice as much TOI. Collberg also didnt get any PP time at all.

I don't think so. In my opinion he projects to be a Jordan Staal type player, with less of a defensive mentality. You really can't expect a projected top line center to fall into the 10-15 range in any draft. He has some work to do if he wants to become a 1C one day, specifically in his offensive game.

That's was the deepest draft in recent memory, not really comparable in any sense to this draft.

Getzlaf also had many concerns about his compete level in his draft year anyhow. Everyone knew Getzlaf had the skillset to be a top line center in the NHL, it was other factor's that led him to drop, which simply can't be said for Faksa.

Ryan Getzlaf was also the 5th ranked NA skater in CSS rankings that year.

Sounds like a wet dream pick at #14.

Take the BPA which will probably be Collberg, Reminds me so much of bartschi its unbelievable. I think these two could play very well together one day. Even if TT is still there i take Collberg every time

Collberg scored 0 points in 41 games in Elitserien. Teräväinen scored 11 goals and had 7 assists in 40. Also had 2+4 in 9 playoff games at Finnish Elite League (SM-Liiga).

To me is quite clear who has more potential. Jokerit (team TT cracked) is really stacked. It's one of the biggest club in Europe.

I think TT is better than Collberg but I agree you take the BPA. That said, I don't expect to see TT or Faksa available at 14. Collberg could be. And with so many good D prospects around, it's likely that someone rated higher will still be there. So I'm kind of hoping for either Collberg or whichever D-man has slid to our spot. Ceci or Reinhart maybe? To me, Reinhart sliding to us would look a lot like Myers sliding to Buffalo in '08.

Weak, weak argument. In majority of this games he was just dressed for the game. How can you be so sure about potential, when they were easily in different situations?

I don't care which round we select him, but PLEASE draft Nathan Walker. He may be the first ever Aussie to play in the NHL, would be a dream he plays for the Flames.
