I am glad the Saturday games are night games. I hate the weekend playoff day games.

MSG will show all games in first round. NBC doesnt have exclusive rights

John Giannone
Repeating: MSG Network will air ALL 7 games (if necessary) of Rangers vs Senators. NBC will not have exclusivity on either Saturday game.

MSG is showing even the ones scheduled to be on the NHL network? That would be awesome- I always get blacked out.

Yay! I don't get game 3 or 4.

Why the hell does Center Ice not include playoffs...

I'm so happy that we can at least listen to Sam in the first round.

Would MSG not televise any games after round 1?

National exposure. Imagine if the remaining 8 teams were only able to be seen in 8 markets? They're going to be broadcast on the national stations so more people can watch.

I meant: would NBC have exclusive rights to games after round 1, or would the local TV stations also be able to broadcast the games, along with NBC?

Yeah, sucks that we won't get to hear Sam and Joe after the first round, but, I love the fact that I can watch ANY playoff game I want.

Right. Knew it was one of those two. Although I don't have NHLN, so I'll have to stream any games shown there.

Joe has been doing NBCSN games lately, do maybe we wool hear him.

A few years ago, Sam did the Caps-Habs series on NBCSN.

Game 4 is the same time as a Knick game and Game 7 would be on the same day as a Knick game, but the time is TBD. Watch us get MSG+ for a playoff game.

I'm sure people won't mind if we get MSG+ for a playoff game, I think every provider that carries MSG in HD also carries MSG+ in HD. People will be pissed if we get stuck with MSG 2.

Yup. We don't get numerous posts asking "where is MSG+ again?" or asking why the sound/picture sucks so hard.

MSG+ is usually one channel up from MSG... we very, very rarely get pushed to MSG+, are you sure you're not thinking of MSG 2? MSG 2 is not carried in HD on most providers and is the channel we have been dumped to most times this season. MSG+ is usually one channel away from MSG, and the picture and sound quality is exactly the same as MSG.

No, no. I know, I was agreeing with your post saying that Rangers fans would prefer MSG+ over MSG 2. I guess I didn't word it right.

I don't think people will have a problem with being on MSG+ because of the sound/quality.

People will have a problem because the suckish Knicks, playing a regular season game, would be getting priority over the 1st place Rangers playing a playoff game. I guess MSG+ just doesn't sound as "good" as just the regular MSG channel.

This is the exact reason why I'm wondering which channel we'll be on.

It says "MSG" for all games here, but I'm not sure we can take that as "we will only be on the primary MSG channel."

I know, but it also says MSG on the Knicks' schedule.
