Derek Roy not happy that coach Lindy Ruff publicly pointed finger of blame at the core group of Sabres, hints staff could've helped more.

Clean-out/exit interview day?

I suspect lockerroom clean out and the post-season interviews will be today or tomorrow. Anyone seen anything in print about it?

Derek getting more points also could've helped. Or maybe even your supposed No 1 centre not being a giveaway machine.

As soon as I read that, I thought to myself that it seems almost certain this summer that one or the other is not in Buffalo next season - odds are that, if Regier stays, it will be Roy.

Hamilton also made a few points on WGR this morning about how Vanek is getting tired of being constantly berated by Ruff behind closed doors - Vanek isn't the type to go public or acknowledge any unhappiness but Hamilton said he's heard from several inside the locker room and organization that Ruff's wearing thin on many of the core players.

He also said he wasnt healthy, had a hamstring injury before the year and thinks he is still a while away from being 100%.

And his numbers dont lie, he is a more productive player then last year showed.

This should be interesting since many of those that hate Ruff also hate Roy. In large part because they feel Roy is Ruff's favorite

FWIW, WGR's audio interview this morning had the following description:

Quote:
Paul talks about locker clean out day and how the players are reacting to the end of the season
And Bill Hoppe writes in article today:

Quote:
Nearly seven months after his upbeat chat as training camp opened, Miller and the Sabres will clean out their lockers today inside the First Niagara Center, officially ending a bitterly disappointing season in which a team built to win the Stanley Cup missed the playoffs.

I LOL at the fact that a coach being hard on his players to make them better is somehow a bad thing.

seems to be the growing theme here. If it's as toxic as it's made to seem, we're either gonna see alot of roster turnover, Lindy will be gone, or a bit of both. Personally I'd like to see both

Audio interview with Hamilton on WGR said locker clean-out was to begin at 9AM this morning - probably explains the posts Hoppe made on his Twitter account of some player reactions.

exactly haha. I am not a fan of Derek Roy's offensive zone penalties and turnovers. I feel he is undisciplined and would like him off this team along with Vanek.

Ironcially enough the two players you would like to see gone are the two pissing and moaning about Ruff right now.

#Sabres Myers: "Mindset" needed to be better early in the season. Says it is a "player" not coaching issue. http://twitpic.com/97qt22

Who's the problem though, ruff or the core? I was thinking the core but if they all have a problem with him maybe ruff is
