And I concede that Pegula knew the deepest of subtle intricacies of the CBA, and called Garth Snow himself to acquire Ehrhoff's rights in the few hours after it was determined he wasn't signing with the Isles after they acquired his rights from VAN.

Also... Not to nitpick, but... To nitpick...Wouldn't having a boss who lOves their employees be bad in the sense you imply? Wouldn't you want someone who wants a successful business so they wouldn't hesitate to cut ties with an incompetent or ineffective employee?

It wasn't the tweets. It's all the talk on the record about Pegula fawning over Ehrhoff during the playoffs last year, mentioning that they need to get him, and then magically Regier lands him.

Do you think that maybe Darcy told him to keep on eye on him because they were planning on targeting him? Is that possible, or even probable? This might be the worst argument against Darcy that I've ever seen. It's amazing that seemingly smart people are making it.

Perhaps.

And for the record, I wasn't making an argument against Regier with regards to Ehrhoff. If Ehrhoff is here in any part due to Pegula liking him and suggesting that they get him to Regier, that says waaaaay more to me about Pegula than Regier.

I've known for a while that Regier is a good soldier who will do what his boss tells him to.
