You need a Stanley Cup pick too.

I think it's kind of stupid to pick the cup finals as of right now. We should just do it like playoff format and pick the 2nd rd selections as soon as we know the complete results of the 1st rd. Then pick the conference finals winners once the 2nd rd is over with. If it's a must though to pick the Cup winners right off the bat I guess I'll go with a Vancouver vs Pittsburgh match-up with the Pens winning in 6.

We do that as well (along with the actual Cup finalists). The reason for the pre-playoffs Cup predictions is to have some more points in the last two rounds (when there are less games) compared to the larger amount the first two rounds have.

I think Detroit will be able to get away with more (and thus try more) of their questionable type play and it'll give them an edge. Was that "subtle interference"? Nevermind their front of the net tomfoolery.

Won't really matter because Detroit can't win away from the (almost always less than 40% full) Joe. Nashville has home ice for the series and will sell out. Detroit has shown a penchant for being completely unable to play in front of a large crowd.

WEST
(1) Vancouver vs. (8) Los Angeles - LA in 7 (Lou goes headcase right away and LA's scoring depth wakes up)
(2) St. Louis vs. (7) San Jose - Blues in 6 (SJ's scoring depth gets stifled early and often, Jumbo goes Pt/G and still gets called a no-show)
(3) Phoenix vs. (6) Chicago - Phoenix in 7 (if Toews doesn't come back, I've got no faith in Chicago's goaltending even if he does)
(4) Nashville vs. (5) Detroit - Detroit in 5 (Radulov is a non-factor, Nashville struggles to score and Detroit just blows them out of the water)

EAST
(1) New York Rangers vs. (8) Ottawa - Rangers in 6 (Rangers top-9 is scary, the Sens don't have the D to shut down all 3 lines. Rangers D is SUPER underrated as well)
(2) Boston vs. (7) Washington - Boston sweeps (Backstrom hasn't had time to get to game speed, and Boston has the lines and home ice to shut down Ovie)
(3) Florida vs. (6) New Jersey - Jersey in 5 (selfish, I just want their pick)
(4) Pittsburgh vs. (5) Philadelphia - Philly in 6 (Even without Pronger, Philly is scary good, plus, I hate sh*tsburgh with a passion)

SCF: Rangers Vs Blues. Rangers in 6.

(1) Vancouver vs. (8) Los Angeles: Vancouver in 5 'Nucks gonna show some muscle
(2) St. Louis vs. (7) San Jose: St. Louis in 6 Sharks? Playoffs? Yea...that won't last long.
(3) Phoenix vs. (6) Chicago: Chicago in 7 Just because I want Phoenix to get some excitement
(4) Nashville vs. (5) Detroit: Nashville in 7 It'd be fun to see an expansion team win a series. And stick it to the Red Wings.

EAST
(1) New York Rangers vs. (8) Ottawa: Rangers in 5 cuz da turtleneck gonna get back at Ottawah
(2) Boston vs. (7) Washington: Boston in 6 Both teams finished the season hot. Boston a little bit more.
(3) Florida vs. (6) New Jersey: New Jersey in 6 Come on conditional draft pick.
(4) Pittsburgh vs. (5) Philadelphia: Pittsburgh in 5 Pittsburgh in 6 without Crosby. But they have Crosby.

Cup:

Vancouver vs. Pittsburgh: Vancouver takes it home to the Northwest division. Plus, we can't be the worth division. we gotta win

Wow, did anyone pick Washington to get out of the first round? I mean, we actually had people picking Detroit to beat Nashville, but no one would go with the Caps?
