Ehh...while I think LA is a strong contender, there can still be arguments made against them. They beat an extremely cocky and unprepared Vancouver team which was missing a star player. They then swept the #2 seed who had lost their starting goaltender. LA certainly earned those wins, but they were firing on all cylinders while their competition all had major missing pieces. We'll see who they're up against next round.
I'm pretty sure I'm still at least tied for first right now, with a mere 2 points in the 2nd round so far. I'm one of very few who picked Jersey, and almost everyone else made the same Nashville and St. Louis mistake I did.
I thought Wash had led the series 3-2 going into last night. Weird.
Washington was winning game 5 with less than two minutes left, but Ward took a double minor (high-sticking + blood) with 1:30 left. Rangers tied it with about 5 seconds left, then scored on the remaining PP in OT to win it.
