This is pretty much my feeling as well, except I also wouldn't mind seeing Philly go far. In the end though, I just wanna see some sweet ****in hockey..

edit: and St Louis..

Not sure of what bandwagon I will be on yet, as tonight is my big draft (26 years) with the same guys I went to high school or hung with back then. He have a 3 foot plaque in the shape of the Stanley Cup with every winners name engraved on it and 6 months of bragging rights untill the next draft. I've got 3rd pick this year so I'm looking at either Crosby, Malkin or H.Sedin. So as of tomorrow my guess I will be either on the Pens or Canucks bandwagon.

Philly in the east and....since i don't abide by the "canadians should cheer for Canada's teaMS" mentality, LA and Nashville. I tried to like the canucks when we had the farmteam, i really did, i just couldn't get into them.

L.A's got my old flyers, i'd love to see carter and richards get a cup in LA.

Also nashville, just love their whole thing.

I won't cheer for US based teams period ..... unless they are going to knock out the Yotes.

Ott & Van for me and I won't watch really if there are no canadian teams. I actually got quite use to not watching during my 15 year boycott

Woo! Bandwagoning again! For the past few years I've been pulling for Montreal in the East and Vancouver in the West. Not really possible this year, so...

Go Blues and Canucks!

Hmm, conflicted.

1st round I would hope to see the Flyers beat the Pens and Kings beat the Nucks.

For me it`s always about who I want to lose, so:

Go Kings!
Go Blues!
Go Hawks!
Go Preds!
Go Rags!
Go Caps!
Go Devils!
Go Flyers! (though I really could care less who wins this one)

As long as the Canucks are out in the first round I`ll be happy.

Or I may just have to flex my playoff board muscles.

Anywho, I made this playoff bracket desktop last night if anyone would like to use it. I'll update when the next rounds are confirmed.

I like Vancouver to take it this year.

Pretty sure it'll come down to Pittsburgh and Vancouver. I'm ok with either team really.

As long as Phoenix, Vancouver, Florida, Washington, or Ottawa don't win the cup I will be happy.

Any news of the Jets sending down anyone to St. Johns to help them in the playoffs?

I'm predicting both #6 seeds to knock out the #3 seeds.

Florida limped into the playoffs and was in serious danger of falling out of the race right up until the end. They are ice cold right now.

Phoenix is relying on Mike Smith who has played in all of 1 career playoff game (which he lost). Remember when Bryzgalov was nominated for the Vezina and then faded in the playoffs? Plus the Hawks are 12-2-4 since they got Oduya.

I want the Wings to win the cup, but I really just want a great playoffs. Without a dog in the race for the first time in my hockey watching career (former die hard Detroit fan) I'm going to be watching mainly just to see some great hockey.

That, and I hope the Nucks and Pens get knocked out early.

First round I've got:
NYR
BOS
NJ
PIT

VAN
STL
PHX
NSH

My friend used to do a playoff draft where you picked the first round, then once that was done you picked the rest of the series up to the cup winner. I'd usually go 8-0 or 7-1 in the first round and then lose all but one of the second round matches.

Not super confident about a couple of these ones.

My Bracket

West
1)Canucks 3 8)Kings 4
2)Blues 4 7)Sharks 2
3)Coyotes 3 6)Blackhawks 4
4)Predators 4 5)Red Wings 2

2)Blues 3 8)Kings 4
4)Predators 4 6)Blackhawks 1

4)Predators 4 8)Kings 2

East
1)Rangers 4 8)Senators 0
2)Bruins 4 7)Capitals 0
3)Panthers 1 6)Devils 4
4)Penguins 4 5)Flyers 3

1)Rangers 4 6)Devils 1
2)Bruins 3 4)Penguins 4

1)Rangers 4 4)Penguins 3

Finals

1)Rangers 4 4)Predators 2

Don't think that the Rangers are the best team, but they will face the Caps and Devils in the first two rounds, BY far the easiest two first opponants of any of the teams. The West is crazy, other the Coyotes anybody could win it no problem, hell even the Coyotes might on a crazy long shot. But the Panthers, Senators, Capitals, Devils are just not up to par in the east, IMO, leaving only 4 real competitors with 2 playing each other first round and it will be a war and a half.

My head is just not right the past few days. Urgh. My bad . I was convinced that the Vancouver/Los Angeles series was the 2/7 series yesterday in a discussion with a buddy of mine...no idea why. Odd.

Nice picks.
However I really dont see the Kings getting past Vancity in the 1st round
Especially if Sedin is back and healthy.
