It's amazing how this guy keeps getting NHL contracts.
He got a PPG average of 0.04 in the NHL, 0.03 in the AHL, 0.02 in the ECHL, 0.02 in the QMJHL and 0.04 in the defunct IHL. Most goaltenders do better than that

BOSTON - The Boston Bruins have signed defenceman Garnet Exelby and forward Lane MacDermid.
They were signed on Wednesday to one-year, two-way contracts. Each deal is for $600,000 at the NHL level. At the AHL level, Exelby's is worth $130,000 and MacDermid's $70,000.
Exelby, 30, played 75 games last year with Detroit's AHL team in Grand Rapids and had seven goals and 14 assists with 177 penalty minutes. He's played 408 NHL games with Atlanta and Toronto.
MacDermid, 22, played five games with Boston last season and 69 with its AHL team in Providence where he had four goals, 12 assists and 121 penalty minutes.
Doesn't hurt to have veteran depth on our D. An upgrade over Mottau, will likely contend for the 7th spot. If not, another great addition to Providence.
Welcome to the club.

He'll be in Providence. Said to say but Mottau is a much better NHL player at this point.
31 year old guys who haven't played in the NHL in 3 seasons really aren't upgrades. But it makes Providence tougher, which is fine.
Man, Exelby was a monster here in Atlanta. Glad to see him get another shot at the dance.
I went to school with Garnet we grew up just 20 mins out of Winnipeg,I was hoping with his home town connection he would have got a shot with the Jets I think we could use his toughness as a call up or 7th d-man.
