Very disappointed in arbitration this year, no guys getting too much money and being walked away from, no teams using their arbitration period (yet!) to buy out other players. About par for the course for this summer actually.
The Oilers re-signed 2 of their 3 remaining RFAs, inking both Alex Plante and Chris Vande Velde to contracts today, per their own twitter account. Only Linus Omark (Whom they're likely trying to trade) remains.
Some interesting names on the list. You've got your good to great players looking for a payday (Evander Kane, P.K. Subban, John Carlson etc.), you've got your NHL-AHL tweeners who are likely haggling over a 1-way deal (Spencer Macachek, Eric Tangradi, Nick Palmieri), you've got guys who likely have offers to play in Europe trying to get more money out of their teams (Brock Trotter) and then you've got guys who have no prayer at getting a bigger payday and you have to wonder just why they didn't sign their qualifying offers (Eric Selleck, Carson McMillan, Alex Grant, Mark Fraser etc.).
