Nice! How good did you do in undergrad to get accepted there?
I did quite well.

I happen to, but most people in my program get accepted out of undergrad and then either just go for a Master's or do Master's and PhD. Most advisors encourage you to do a PhD. In fact, in AE at Georgia Tech there is a Master's degree that doesn't require a thesis; it's a "special problem" where you essentially do research and then present it in some capacity. The idea is that, if you're going to go on to a PhD, there's not really a point in going through the proposal/thesis process twice, especially since you will generally build on the Master's research for the PhD.

I considered getting a PhD but have largely ruled it out as I like my current program of taking classes for 2 days every week.
After this semester my course load should be much less intense too. I'm looking forward to it. For now, I have to get back to writing up this project report.
I heard (today actually), that you are allowed to use books and notes and everything on these exams, but that they are like 8 hours long. Is this truth?
For the FE. They give you a reference book.
I'm not positive but for the PE I think you can bring your own notes and books.
I had a physics exam planned today. When we entered class, that whiner went straight to the teacher complaining about everyone not being ready for that exam (COME ON GIRL IT'S ONLY DYNAMICS)... the teacher decided to place the exam next week to allow students to study and be more prepared. Then, she went to my chemistry teacher and asked to put the exam one week later there too so that we don't end up with 2 huge exams in 2 days. I hate her. è_è
I have one more exam to study for (hydrology) on Thursday. I've lost all motivation though. I start my job in a couple of weeks, I just want to graduate and move onto that.
Tell me something to scare me into studying Lounge.

Lol. I forgot about high school and how exams can actually be postponed if enough people whine.
A few semesters back, I had 2 University finals scheduled at the exact same time. I had to sign a NDA and write one of the exams a few hours earlier, on the same day. Fun times. Being the hardcore procrastinator that I am, I didn't actually study for the second final until after I had written the first. And that was after I had taken a nap, so I think I only studied for 30 minutes. Luckily the final exams were long answer and I was able to bs my way to an A and A+, hip hip hooray.
Wow, lots of engineering and science majors in here. I'm a broadcasting major myself and reading this thread makes me feel really lucky that I never have to take a math or science class again. Here's my finals schedule (mine are in May):
May 15: Law and Regulation of Electronic Media
May 16: Introduction to Broadcast News
May 17: Writing for Electronic Media (my area of emphasis)
May 18: Critical Study of Popular Culture
I've also got a couple interviews lined up with Comcast SportsNet here in San Francisco for a summer internship

Doesn't matter, really. I'd still much prefer the 4 part, 4 hour sections of the CPA exam with no notes that an 8 hour exam with them. God, I don't know if I could sit still that long.

It's broken down into two 4 hour blocks. We get to eat lunch in between. Yay........

If you fail, you're gonna miss 4 months of pay, and gonna have to redo the same bull **** again.
Civil Eng I assume?
Just had the *****iest circuits exam ever. Ugly numbers, and an ass load of system of equations.
Everyone got ass-*****. I think I did decently well. But I know I'm going to lose major marks on a question because I did it the right way at first, but thought "this algebra is way too hairy to be the right way", and changed to a different way.
I'm an idiot. The original way should have been obviously correct because of the mark weighting between the different parts of the question.
I should be fine though. It was only a 40% final and I'm confident I got at least around 75%. And my midterm average (combined worth of 45% of total mark) was about 90% going into the final. And since so many people got owned, hopefully the grades will be scaled a little.
So hopefully I'm still looking at around a high 70 / low 80 for the final grade.
I was gonna try for a high 90 for this class no average booster here i guess.

That's the problem... I'm in college. Usually, classes are all mixed up and you're not with the same people in each of your class. However, in my program, we're always the same group (exception for english, where people are on different levels, and sports class, where people take different sports). All our teacher have meetings every week to discuss the schedule so that it is not too thight for us, hence why we will never have more than two exams in one week. But it also leads to a lot of postponing...

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to all the work to get a CPA and/or CA accredidation after I graduate from uni...
