i have a feeling isles win this. dont know why, maybe just out of all the teams that 'need' it, the isles and CBJ need it most. And CBJ doesnt really need a winger from what i can tell..

I hope CBJ wins. They deserve it. I'm just thinking about how pissed I would have been if we ended up getting bumped to the 2nd pick in '09. Especially 3 years later when JT has put some distance between himself and Hedman/Duchene... IMO it's only right that the Jackets get Yakupov.
That and we don't end up getting bumped to the 5th pick for the 2nd year in a row.

Edmonton winning would actually be a great scenario, second only to the Isles of course. First off, hboards would go crazy how unfair it is which would be hilarious to read. Second, I gotta think these would be the likely picks:
EDM: Yakupov
CBJ: Grigorenko
MTL: Gally
Which leaves Ryan Murray to fall directly into our laps at #4. And Toronto fans whining like crazy because they didn't get a center.

I wish there was a way we could loan Gillies to the Flyers for this series

Check TSN.ca, NHL.com, and NBCsports.com, not sure if any are streaming it, but hopefully one does.

It's being shown on NBC Sports Network live, and at 8:30 on the NHL Network.

Is there anywhere that shows our percentage chances for all three outcomes:
draft #1
stay where we are
move back to 5th

Based on the odds, it's more likely that the worst team WON'T retain that top spot (conversely). It's been a few years since the worst team was unseeded, so we are due. That said, the hockey gods don't look favorably on this franchise, and Wang has a ton of ****** karma coming his way with how he operates this team.
So I thought this was going on about 8:30, not 8?

Five straight lotteries and you don't know the rules by heart yet?!
Yes, farthest we can drop is one spot to #5 and most any team can move up is 4 spots (not of concern to us at #4).
