A) Draft Yakupov
-Put him on the first line
-Keep or release Parenteau
B) Draft Murray
C) Trade 1st overall pick
- Acquire elite d-man/top 4 d-man
I'd think about "C". I'd be leery of the Russian just because of the lack of a transfer agreement. For that, I'd explore options for a top-2 D and see what's out there. If there's a chance to pick up a proven top-2 in his mid/late-20s, I'd trade the Yakupov pick.

If we don't get number 1..I'd be open to trading down to about 8 or 9 and pick up Reinhart. I think he is the sleeper in this draft. Very smart and very big Dman with NHL bloodline.

I think Nail it that good that it won't be an issue. I am curious to see if that factors into them picking if they drop to #2

You don't need a transfer agreement... He's already been here playing junior hockey 2 years.

Waiting for the lottery, watching NHL36. I wonder if the Isles would let them do one on JT. Imagine getting an inside look at the Isles...

Wang would never approve, that would blow the cover for his secret Korean brainwashing experiments that they do in the Coliseum basement.

I want to see Calgary win it. I figure for 3 years straight they basically got the worst possible pick for finishing so good but not good enough. They deserve something positive

I just don't want the Leafs to get the 1st pick so the board wont crash tonight.

Would love to win it for once.
We did... twice! Once resulted in John Tavares (I don't consider retaining the 1st pick as "winning", but book keeping does)..... the other, Rick DiPietro..... oh geez!
This year, I am predicting a lottery winner, and I'm going with the Dallas Stars moving from 13th to 9th. Why? Because there has never been a lottery winner (outside for 1st pick retention) that has not affected the top 5. This will be the first year like that... or maybe not. We'll know soon.

Some fun facts:
Canadian teams have almost the same chance that the blue jackets have at winning the #1 pick
5 of the past 6 seasons the #1 team has held onto the pick, when they have a 48.2% chance of winning, compile the odds of a coin going heads 5 of 6 times in a row... quite low. 6 of 7 is even lower
