"Swarm the puck" is a hockey term. Guessing it means their aggressive PK style?
I like it. Solid tag line for the playoffs.

That's pretty cool. TG says they also have hats to go with it, but they haven't come in yet.

I still don't get the dice. Better not be one of those encouragements of gambling, "safe is death" nonsense things. But I doubt it, considering the system DeBoer runs.
But I do like the aggressive mentality reflected in the Swarm.

Maybe playing the odds? like craps? Can't win if you don't play?
"Let's roll the dice and see what happens" is a common phrase too.

The Devils' first-year captain has some clout.
After years of making the team stay in a New Jersey hotel the night before a home playoff game, Zach Parise talked general manager Lou Lamoriello and coach Pete DeBoer into allowing everyone to stay in their own homes.
Instead, the Devils will go into a New Jersey hotel the day of a home playoff game.

He must have told Lou that he'd leave if he didn't get his way.

The Devils players have special gray T-shirts and red hooded sweatshirts for the playoffs.
The front has the player's number and the Devils' logo. The back has a pair of dice and the phrase "Swarm it up."

True enough. Hopefully the players will react positively to not being in jail the night before games.

Kovy has done the "dice roll" celebration a few times as a Devil. Guess that's where this thing comes from or comes together somehow.
By the way if I was Lou, and Zach made that request, I would have asked Zach to sign off on some sort of contract regarding it, if you catch my drift.

TG says "swarm it up" has to do with the team's defensive zone philosophy. There are 16 visible dots on the dice, so that one is probably obvious in its meaning.

“It’s symbolic,” backup goaltender Johan Hedberg said. “It’s like a Dan Brown novel.”

So it's devoid of literary merit and significance, promotes nonsensical interpretations of history, and still makes a ton of money?

A few hours til game time.
Do we know the Florida lineup yet?
MSG+ no longer lists the scratches for some odd reason.
**The ultra low camera angle in Florida is not my favorite.
