I'll be curious to see if he plays. Tortorella didn't seem excited at the idea and both Brian Boyle and Carl Hagelin, former college players themselves, expressed doubt that Kreider could step right in and play playoff hockey at a high level.

He wont play at the start, but if the team struggles...Dont be surprised if Torts throws him in there as a spark plug

This just makes trading him to Columbus for Nash easier. Now we dont' have to worry if he'll sign with us out of college.

You can probably tell an impact player partially by how he performs in practice.
If he looks NHL ready and like he can make an impact right away I'm sure Torts won't hesitant to put him in for Mitchell...

Hagelin-Richards-Gaborik
Dubinsky - Stepan - Callahan
Kreider - Anisimov - Fedotenko
Prust - Boyle - Rupp

Why not bring back the Dubi - Anisimov - Callahan line. If I recall they played fairly well together?

Hagelin - Richards - Gaborik
Dubinsky - Arnisimov - Callahan
Kreider - Stepan - Fedotenko
Rupp - Boyle - Prust

The talk is the Rangers aren’t pleased with the way Blue Jackets GM Scott Howson handled negotiations in a failed deal involving W Rick Nash. Sources say GM Glen Sather felt he made a generous offer — including C Brandon Dubinsky, D Tim Erixon and prospect C J.T. Miller, along with two first-round picks — but Howson wouldn’t stop asking for D Michael Del Zotto, among others. Some would be surprised if the Rangers even revisit a deal for Nash in the off-season.

Most likely a black ace for the Rangers.

Booom Shakalaka!!!! Two time NCAA champ, 2 time Beanpot Champ and WJC gold & Bronze medalist, Krieder brings a winning attitude when the Rangers are looking to step it up come playoffs. Add to it he's already played against NHL Players as a relative kid in two IIHF WC with 3g, 2a and 5pts in 13 games ....This Ranger fan is very excited!
