Kaberle.

Depending on how things go, I think Yannic Weber could be had for rather cheap.

In many situations, I would say Rene Bourque, but this really depends on lot of factors at this point.

He should be getting better, stealing games, not regressing and demonstrating his weak psyche.

It's not his skill set that will keep him from realizing his potential. It's his ego and his head. I'm just not a fan and tired of watching the promise and all too often major fail at the worst times.
Oh, I only want him as backup, not starter. I think he can manage that - heck, arguably he has stolen a game or two for us that way this year. But we're getting off on a tangent.

He's a UFA but I would be surprised if he got more than a one year -- 1 mil deal.

Kings:

Stoll
Westgarth
Drewiske

all of them have no place at the KIngs roster anymore.

Someone in need for a hobby team can grab them

I thought Johnson did OK considering he was waived and everything. Wouldn't he at least get a fourth or fifth round pick for the Pens?

Raymond could be had for cheaper than what he normally is worth since he is coming off a major injury and hasn't played up to his average but this is depending on how the playoffs go.

He's still a useful 3rd liner who is a great 2 way player with speed and has short hot streaks where he can make his line an offensive threat by himself.

I nominate Kaberle and Bourque from Habdom too. (Avoiding the obvious mention of Gomez). I don't think they're utterly useless NHLers or anything. Kaberle might have a niche somewhere. He produced ok for the Habs. But was just too soft and ultimately redundant for our team and the cap hit he represents.

Bourque got off to a very rocky start and most Habs fans will be pulling for him to rebound. But I'm pessimistic enough on that score that I'd cut my losses early if I could.

The Sens will likely have a logjam of young forwards next year. These guys still have some potential but are waiver-eligible and may be on the outside looking in.

Bobby Butler (1 way; $1.2m salary; $1.05m cap hit; RFA 2013)
24 years old
2011-12: 56gp 6-10-16 (+8)
2010-11: 36gp 10-11-21 (-16)

Kaspars Daugavins ($600k, RFA 2012)
23 years old
2011-12: 56gp 5-6-11 (-2)

Concur with this list, though I'd like to see what Clitsome can do under another year of Huddy.

I don't disagree. Just seems that since his Rookie of the Year trophy he's been on that downward slope and his head just isn't right....

how cheap do you think Mason could be had for? would it just take a contract swap where the BJs save a couple million in cap space? If (and its a big if) the Flames moved Kiprusoff I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on Mason in hopes Malarchuk sees something in his game to help him regain his form

From FL for sure, Santorelli is available for next to nothing. He's signed next yr for $1.6M. He just doesnt fit in with the team and need to make room for guys like Huberdeau next season.

If that involved Kipper coming here, that would interest me.

What about a guy like Jim O'Brien? I think he's an RFA this offseason - is he going to get a qualifying offer?

Its not going to, if the Flames move Kipper it will be at the draft and he won't waive his NMC to go to the last place team in the NHL who will probably be trading their best player.
