I feel Gally will be better down the road, just hear he has a more compete level and work ethic.

I actually feel bad for the Blue Jackets. I can't imagine if that would of happened to the Leafs tonight.

I think you're dead-on. This was convenient for Columbus because now the pressure is off, and they don't have to deal with/answer questions about possibly NOT taking Yakupov.

They can take Ryan Murray and know they have their potential future captain secured on the back end, and go from there

I hope like hell that Galchenyuk makes it to 5, but I'm with many, in saying that I won't be upset with any of Forsberg, Galchenyuk, Grigorenko, Murray, or Dumba be the pick.

Leaf Nation, we are going to get an ELITE talent to add to the mix. Get excited about that. The icing is, if Gally falls to us at 5, we have 35 to use on a guy like Thrower, Wilson, Subban, Maidens, Frk (if he falls), etc. we could set ourselves up nicely.

We have a shot at Schultz, and I think Burke takes a run at Suter. Parise = Hail Mary.... But no.

What happened to Nick Ebert? Took a step back when scouts were expecting a big step forward?

Grigorenko is a much more offensive talent, but lazy, unenthused, and not dependable for anything but scoring.

Galchenyuk is the lesser offensive talent, however grittier, better defensively, and has a strong work ethic.

Apparently Doug MacLean thinks Yakupov is a centre haha, and the dude beside him said Murray will be a number three defenceman.

He does, but he doesn't have the finish nailed down yet. He needs time, but his dangling and playmaking at full speed is impressive. I think he's ideal to play alongside Kessel based on his skill-set and his ability.

He'll show out at the combine, and we're going to have to worry about the Habs. Mark my words.

I know man, it's hard to believe someone like MacLean didn't at least know Yakupov's position.

I'd be willing to bet that I see more of the draft elligible players, and future prospects more than a lot of the people talking $!%#. A lot of us, I'm sure, attend more than just a few OHL/Q/Dub games per year, and most likely get a better live sample of a lot of players that you hear the talking heads going on about.

The worst part is, none of us are being paid the $$ to have the greatest job in the world.... Trollin' sens and habs fans as the General manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs.... Lol

debatable. Severely debatable. Galchenyuk put up similar numbers in his rookie season in a more difficult league. Honestly wouldve challenged Yakupov for #1 if hed have stayed healthy

Grigo is better when he wants to be.
Gally should be our guy if the 2 are left.

Both could definitely be #1 C's. If Grigs got his priorities straight he could be an all-star-calibre player.
I just don't see it happening. Especially as a Leaf. Imagine the media ripping him a new one when he starts floating around

With that said.

I want Forsberg, Gally's a close 2nd

Only player MacLean gives a **** about is Nash. The guy definitely has a Nash poster above his bed and has Marvin Gaye music playing as he gazes up at it.

He's got a bottle of Coirvoisier, and a handful of Jergens as we speak

Pierre McGuire is lighting the candles....

Grig might fall out of the top 5. Could be the steal of the draft.
