This L.A. series looks like it going to be a bruiser.

After all the Preds' success, all of the hype and all of the expectations, it's going to be brutal if the series ends up being tipped by Shea Weber getting suspended for losing his damn mind.

If Weber isn't suspended then we will really know whether the league actually gives a **** about players' heads or not. There's no place for the garbage he pulled.

Zetterburg hit Weber. Weber took a swing at him then grabbed Zetterburg by the back of his helmet and pushed/smashed his face into the boards.

That's gotta be the most effective response I've gotten on these boards. A textual response, GIF, and two videos all within two minutes.

Ryan Suter is from Wisconsin. Wisconsin is famous for cheese curds. Ryan Suter prolly likes cheese curds. Cheese curds go on poutine. DaveG recently invent most bestest poutine evar with Caroline speciality BBQ pulled pork. Ryan Suter want come to Raleigh to eat most bestest poutine evar, and also play stickpuck.

I figured you'd end up having Suter re-enact scenes from Platoon with Charlie Sheen. Apparently not.

Meh. I'd give him a game. Then again, I'm against MOST suspensions, IMO Shanaban takes things too far a LOT, but I'd be OK with 1 or 2 games. No need to ruin a team's playoff chances over a boneheaded 2 seconds that didn't amount to any injuries.

Doesn't he get a game for an instigator automatically? That's at least an instigator if there were more time on the clock. My initial response was a bit of an overreaction. I think 2-3 games is about right. I just hope the time is served against Detroit and not next series when Detroit should be getting the benefit of the suspension.

Not sure about the instigator. They only gave him a roughing penalty so my guess is any supplemental discipline will be based on Shanahan solely

The thing that will kill Weber is that it was a blatant attempt to injure and unfortunately he chose the head. I want this to be a one game suspension too, but honestly I can see it being 3 games.

Since no one has ever been suspended for a similar play that I can remember, Shanny can pick a number out of a hat and no one could really complain about it.
