Thanks guys! Took Tavares, It's for a hockey game.. You draft your team.. I was considering each of the players on the poll. Some people are saying he is amazing, but he is too unproven, with no playoff experiences.

That wont matter if you are doing a SIM game haha

Guys like MSL are obviously incredible players but they are older than JT

JT might be one of the best players to build your core around in the entire league

Last night an ESPN program was discussing how the Detroit Pistons needed a hero citing the heroes on the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and no mention of the Detroit Red Wings. All this despite the Red Wings probably being the most succesful team in Detroit right now.

Starting a team from scratch for one season only seems odd.

St. Louis would probably be my pick for one season only. But If I am in fact starting a franchise and assume I'll be going for more than a season I'd build around Tavares.

Out of all these players, only two outscored the only defenceman on this list this year.

I was going to go with Tavares but if its just for one season, Zetterberg for me. I'm a sucker for elite two-way centers.
