How Many Playoff Games Will Florida Win?

If there is such a thing as "most undeserving playoff team", it's the Florida Panthers. EIGHTEEN loser points, 22nd in the league with 32 ROW (that's one more than the Leafs), -24 goal differential and they backed into the playoffs with 2 wins in their last 10 games.

They're facing New Jersey, who despite their 6th overall standing, managed 102 points in the toughest division in the NHL.

In my opinion, I would be absolutely shocked if the Panthers won a game this post-season. What do you think?

Jersey wins 4 - 2.

One game early, one game to stave off elimination.

I think they will win one game, my bet:

Game 1-Devils 3-1
Game 2-Devils 3-2
Game 3-Panthers 2-1
Game 4-Devils 1-0
Game 5-Devils 2-0

Think they win the first series, and get ousted in six in the second round. 5+.

Really surprised to see people saying they can knock off NJ. I was not expecting the amount of +5 votes.

Wow, I've been the Devils' biggest critic all year and they're my second most hated team. I'll be surprised if the Devils take more than 5 games to beat them. How can 5+ be leading this poll? More Florida fans that we thought?

People like rooting for the underdog.

I personally am not underestimating the Panthers. They have pieces there that can cause problems for NJ. It will all depend on how they are coached in these playoff games and if they can exploit NJ's weaknesses.

What happened in the regular season may not be any kind of indication on how these two teams play each other. We're going to have to wait til a few games is over to see how they really match up.

Then said, how many games Edmonton was supposed to win in 2006 ? If I was OP, I'd be really careful with that kind of threads. Weird things happens in playoffs.

I'm not as impressed with Jersey as many others appear to be. They are a team full of holes, and could very easily be trumped in the first round by the Panthers.

I'm taking Florida to win the series. So, 5+ wins.

I say they'll beat the devils. If they meet up with the Flyers in the second round they'll probably lose, but the series will be much closer than people think.

Congrats Florida, you've already won more games than I expected you to.
