What you are paying for is to watch them play, that's it.
I was referring as much to the restaurant analogy as to MLSE.

Listen, for the umpteenth time, I am not saying MLSE SHOULD offer a refund. I am saying if they want to put out a "public apology" to the masses to appease unsatisfied customers, that is much more sincere.

I watched Burke for years in Vancouver.

His act wears thin, and he is always at war with someone, not just the media. The writing is on the wall, many would like to him to just quit in style.I doubt Bell/Rogers want this representing thier brand and the damage his b.s has done to the Leafs will take a while to undo.It isnt any one thing with Burke but after a while you cant help but cringe and cover your ears.He talks a mean speech but there isnt much substance to it.

We will trade for them!Promises, promises.he just wants an excuse to trade that pick away and try and save his job while crippling the franchise. The best way to get a number one center, draft him.

And people say Burke has an obsession with the media... looks like it's the other way around.
the Sun has been unusually vicious lately. It's kind of strange.

no idea how the newspaper industry works but wonder if it's related to rogers/bell owning their rival papers (if that's even true, too lazy to look it up). Maybe they don't like the playing field anymore, as far as access to players or insiders or whatever, and this is their response?

or something. But it's odd. Their criticism all year was about what you'd expect and then suddenly it turned into a smear campaign

So Ken Hitchcock is a bad coach because he's fat? Excellent logic.

Who is this moron? The only guy in a while to make Burke seem sympathetic.

Excellent reading comprehension, cuz that's exactly what I said

I noted that as part of a pattern, which consistents of Burke:
-Being unable to restrain his ego, and getting involved in unwinnable schoolyard fights with media.
-Being unable to control his vocabulary while representing the team during a press conference.
-Being unable to even maintain a consistent message, constantly contradicting himself.

Him being unable to even control his food consumption is just icing on the cake.

All these behavioural issues seem to point to the guy being some kind of man-child, and raise serious questions about his ability to manage such an important and large organization.

that's so rediclous.

the media went on and on trying to get an apology, every player coming out on locker room clean out day was pressed for an apology and reminded that one player had made one.

prior to this their was a least one article that was saying that fans should get an apology.

so they got one.

now the media spins it and says an apology isn't worht anything we want lower prices blah blah blah

this is getting rediculous......

I feel dirty for reading an entire article from the sun. Go **** a bible and leave the writing for people capable of constructing a coherent thought.

Yeah, in late January, with just over a month left in the season. That missed playoff year is on his watch, not Fletcher's.

WTF are you talking about? Did you even read what was said?

The fans don't deseve an apology. It's a freaking sport. Don't like the product, go cheer another team. Jesus.

No one said they should lower prices. Comprehend what was said.

The media is definately going after Burke. Some of it is fair. Some of it is unfair. They are definately looking to use anything against him. I am not disputing any of that.

What I said is that he brought it all on himself. The same can be said for Ron Wilson. Both guys gave the media lots of reasons to dislike them. The media folks can only wait for some ammo to shoot back. Ron Wilson gave them a lot of ammo, and not Burke is starting to load up their guns for them.

Over two months -- season ends in early April not March.

1. It's just over 2 months rather than 1 month.

2. Fletcher was there for the trading deadline.

So may we agree on 40/60?

Edit: Just saw that rojac had already mentioned point 1.

Methinks Rogers should worry more about how terribly their own product represents itself.

I always wondered why players walked in to the arena wearing suits. Jeans a sweatshirts would be more appropriate.

I stand corrected. Two months.

Still on Fergie's watch, though.

What a pile of crap. Let's not resort to posting the Sun, it's not worth my battery power opening this crud.

Yeah, the Sun is real classy, let's all forget the Belak incident.

Might have been a good point with "tough".

With "thought", you need to decode it first.

Also; sources my ass.
Burke did nothing to endear himself to fans. It was obvious in the press conference his ego is hurting now and if he wants pity then being crass is not the way to go about it.

Please dont ever post an article from the sun on here again. The worst excuse for journalism I've seen in a while. The sun is no better that a celebrity tabloid magazine

Seriously.....Get over it. Your postings sound like a broken record and no one really cares that you want Burke gone.

I want him to stay so he's staying.
If only you wanted more than that.
