I eat chicken the most but I probably prefer beef or bacon.
I've eaten other stuff like bison, elk, caribou, and moose. I prefer cow though.
I hate most types of fish/seafood.

Even ignoring my feelings for them, I wouldn't really want to eat horse meat for all the awful stuff that goes into them. Very common medicines like Bute are not good for people. You have no idea what some horse coming from an auction has consumed or the life they've lived.
If someone was sitting across the table from me eating it I might actually try one bite though. My dad ate it once and said it was OK.

I am not knowledgeable in the subject, but I think horses made for consumption are much different than game horses at auction.
I also doubt the drugs put into horses are really much worse than corn fed cattle for example.

I have only heard of one instance of horses being raised strictly for their meat. I can't find any concrete numbers but to my knowledge the overwhelming majority of horse meat comes from horses picked up from auction(who ended up there for a number of reason- lameness, overbreeding, idiot owners, etc). Cows may be fed some crap but at least there is some history on them and they can track back where they came from if issues arise.
I don't eat it often , but I think it's my favorite.
People who didn't try should definitely give it a shot.
I'm not sure about all the unhealthy stuff in horses , I'm not qualified to talk about this , but I guess it doesn't really bother me since I'm not eating it everyday.I mean you do realize half the country is on a cheese-burger and french fries with extra sauce diet?
It's too bad that horses aren't raised strickly for their meat.I understand some people love horses as animals , but oh well I don't see anybody crying for the people who loves pigs.

Most of the horses you eat are old race horses that have done their time. I forget the organization but they send old race horses up to Canada to process them. My cousin works as one of the farm workers who impregnates race horses. I don't know of any horse that's bread specifically to be eaten, they all do their time at farms etc then get set to the slaughterhouse.
False. Anyone who voted beef must not have tried buffalo. Superior flavor to even the best tasting beef (I say this as a butcher who serves some of the best tasting domestic beef there is).
