Haven't listened yet, but it's awesome to see one of my favorite local hockey guys on WGR. Even better that they're (WGR) making an effort to inject some strong hockey knowledge into their shows instead of the usual amateur crap.

He said "all decks on hand" instead of "all hands on deck" this morning.

Caught that on the way to the gym. Awesome work!

Yeah, feed's not working at the moment.

Look forward to listening, though. Nice exposure there, Bakes!

I cannot hear it either, but someone on twitter mentioned this is going to be a weekly segment leading up to the draft. Great idea by WGR and I can't think of anyone better to host it then Baker.

Yeah it appears nothing in the audiovault is working right now. Shame... will look for another way to get access.

Edit: it appears the actual mp3 is simply a 404 for any of the segments this morning.

BOOO.

Does this work? Saw the link on Twitter, but WGR's site is blocked here.

WGR never bothers to fix them either. So I doubt we'll get to hear the interview. Shame.

Wait, a hockey segment on possible draftees leading up to the draft? Not possible. We've already been told there is no market for that.

And yes, that's sarcasm.

Next step for the Buffalo media is actually monitoring what prospects they host during the Draft Combine. I know that would require them to temporarily postpone posting pictures of their food and beer on Twitter (Vogl), or walking next door before they cover Triple-A baseball games (Harrington), or step away from their fantasy sandwich drafts (anybody on WGR), but it'd be wonderful if we heard reports about what guys they were hosting. I have my doubts that it actually happens, though. We'll have to wait for prospects to tweet that they're in or going to Buffalo, or hear post-Draft stories about the organization liking guys they saw during the combine.

Thanks, guys. Always appreciated. Not the first time I've crossed my wires by saying "all decks on hand" lol Could that be considered Fruedian? Baker being Baker, I guess.

But yes, it was fun to do and it's great to see WGR embrace the draft process deeper than years past. Hope it sounded good.

Just got through it. Great job Kris, highly enjoyable. Definitely hoping to hear more.

(If this does turn into a weekly thing can we sticky this thread for the future audio?)

Great, great interview. Finally something -- and more specifically, someone -- worth listening to on the radio.

File saved as "Baker on WGR - 1". Here's to adding more numbers to the series.
