Didn't see the last period because I went to bed, but Preds dominated the 1st and Wings the 2nd. Should be an interesting series.

Theres only 2 things I root for

1. The Panthers
2. If the Panthers aren't playing, a good game

Don't know how some of you can actively root for more than 1 team.

Luongo will choke in the first round. Quick is going to beat the Canucks

Probably if I lived anywhere near an NHL team, I would root for that one. I can't really explain how I've come to like these two particular teams, but since my childhood my love for both of them has been equal.

It's all about the panthers for me, but Patrick Kane and David Backes are my favorite players so i like to see their teams do well

He would have gotten away with the first hit, because Zetterberg came in high.

The second move where he just grabs his head and slams it into the boards will need some "supplementary discipline". Especially with all the concussion talk.

Really stupid move by a guy who should know better.

wow he got away with one there. if i were a red wings fan i would have been pissed. That hit was suspension worthy and could have easily changed the outcome of the series.

I'm quite surprised that he didn't get any suspension. It was an uncalled for move that could have been a bad injury.

No prior history of being suspended (2500$ fine this season for a hit from behind on Jannik Hansen) & he's a superstar and it's the playoffs, so I'm not surprised at all.

I never understood why prior history has to do with the length of suspensions. A cheap hit or play by a newcomer that say would be worth 5 games might get 1 game compared to a veteran having some history and would get 5 games instead of 1 for a hit that wasn't that bad.

Great result in the playoffs so far. Can only be topped off with a Panthers win tonight

It's funny. When I was a teenager, I loved Loungo. Now. I usually check the highlights excited to see if he choked again.

Vancouver Luongos are down 3-1.

The Golden Crosbys choke up another lead.

At least there is some happiness in the hockey world tonight.

edit: Luongos now down 4-1.

I absolutely love that Little Sydney's team lost again. 8 goals, WOW. And LA is manhandling Vancouver also. Quick is amazing, but wish that POS Richards wasn't on the Kings. Hoping the Caps bounce back tomorrow against Boston. Holtby was great and they played well most of the game. I know OV likes to hit but he will be worn out if he keeps this up by the end of the series. They need offense from him a hell of alot more then this. I just want Boston to lose because of the teams fans and the arrogance and sense of entitlement they exhibit. Plus Marchand is a gutless puke and I have no use for Lucic either. Hope the Preds come out of the West or Phoenix if not Nashville.

I hope the Caps and Sens get swept. All we need to hear all summer is how the two teams that finished below us in the East justifiably outshone the Panthers in the end and "deserved" to finish better in the regular season. Hopefully the Flyers make it to the conference finals and help our draft position(if we don't advance to round 2). They look awesome right now and that's without JVR and Meszaros. I hope the Preds win the Cup.
