First goal of the game contest Playoff Edition: 4/11/12 @ Vancouver@ 7:30 pm PDT
New rules for Playoffs:
I'm not sure how this was done last year - but I've decide on new rules for the playoffs. Since the playoffs are going to be a much shorter 'season' - as few as just 4 games - I'm going to give people more of a chance to get points. There will be no Dark Horse for the playoffs, just pick 2 players from the Kings.
Here are the rules:
Each person gets to make two picks per game:
Points are awarded as follows:
*Two points awarded if you pick a player as your normal pick
*One point awarded if you pick a shutout (Kings get shutout that is)
*One extra point is awarded if you pick the correct situation in which the goal is scored (i.e. EV, PP, SH, PS)
-You can only pick Kings players to score the first goal of the game. Opposing teams do not count.
An example of how your pick should look is:
Brown (PP)
Voynov (EV)
Once the game has started, no more picks are allowed. Please make sure to get your picks in ahead of time to be fair to everyone. Good luck! (If people really don't like these new rules for the playoffs, let me know. I'll change them back if most people are unhappy with them. I just thought it'd be a nice change of pace)

"It has not been a good day. I lost my glasses early this morning and I had to go buy a pair of 79 dollar reading glasses today. 79 bucks. You can literally get them at Costco, three-for-20." - Darryl Sutter's response to going up 2-0 in the series.
As I recall last season the rules were the same and the standings were a continuation from the regular season but all playoff games counted as double points
