Linus Omark voicing desire to be traded via Twitter

From Limpanomark (verified account), posting this now since I'm sure once the team catches wind he'll have to delete the tweet:

@realoilfan
@Limpanomark prove the Oilers wrong about you at the worlds! show them what they're going to lose. Enjoy!
Linus Omark Linus Omark ‏

@Limpanomark
@realoilfan I live to show that the "two" are wrong. But I really hope edm let me have a chance in another nhl team

The writing's been on the wall for quite some time. Who wants him is the real question?

I think Montreal could send a late round pick or lower end prospect for him. I would like to see what he could do beside Plekanec.

Yakupov I think basically spells the end of what was already likely the end anyways.

If the Isles make some moves in the bottom 6, maybe Isles can take a flyer on Omark.

He's Rob Schremp all over again, no thanks. I can see Winnipeg being interested.

He'll get a chance with another team....but it won't be an NHL team.

Being a long-time fan of Linus and his Swedish club Luleå, I have given up hope of seeing him in a top 6 role in an NHL club. I think he will be back in SEL soon...

its a low risk gamble, so I think alot of teams would have a level of interest, what they are willing to pay is another story

He would land a 4th to 7th DP IMO. Habs could give him a shot, still one of the most gifted players that doesn'y play top 6 minutes.

Omark is going to Detroit. Gustavsson will follow. Brunnstrom is already there.

They will collect all the over-hyped Swedish prospects.

I'd love for the jets to pick him up for next to nothing, but i don't think they do. Not even close to the type of player the mgmt seems to like, but i think he could still be a good "spare part" on a top 6 line.

You're right but seeing Rolston, Reasoner, Nino, Wallace and Pandolfo combine for 7 goals with 250 games played tells me I'll take a chance on Omark.

I could see kings picking him up for basicly nothing. Put him on richards line to make up for his defensive game.

Rhankshani's(sp) size is similar to Omark's and it's what is holding back,keeping him off the NYI roster.I don't see Omark in the NYI bottom 6 anymore then Rhankshani(sp)

If Winnipeg is interested in spare parts on the top 6... why not Frolik?

Not surprised. I know he is just speaking his mind, something i think is refreshing in the time of templated personality, boring hockey players. But sometimes i think his own mouth is a bit to big for his own good. And given, i've voiced my concerns regarding him and his mouth earlier as well.

But despite what some people seem to think he's actually a player with tremendous talent. Most people only seem to acnowlage that he has great hands. But there is more too him than that. However he seemingly has some problems puting it together in the NHL where he is not given as much time or space as he is used to. I think that is something he has tried to work on but it's just not coming together.

And i don't want to bash the Oilers any more since they have goten their fair share of bashing these last 24 hours. So i'll just say that i think that the Oilers were the wrong fit from the get go. He is not the kind of player i see thriving in that organization.

Here is hoping he gets traded and is able to pursue his NHL-dream. Would be a shame to see him go to waste.

Almqvist for Omark straight up?

Someone will take a chance on him and he'll prove the poorly managed Edmonton Oilers wrong
