Pretty much the players that aren't available. Lol
Duchene is extremely ideal. Still want to know Avs fans reaction to 6th overall + Cogs + Holland for Duchene.
Courtier and Stepan aren't available, so don't bother.
I would not give up our 1st for Brassard or Johansen.
These are the players I'd target:
Duchene
Pavelski (weren't some SJ fans saying he may become available if they lose 1st round again?)
Plekanac (I think Habs need to add a little though)
Grabovski won't be traded. Seemed like their best player down the stretch, and he just got that extension. Don't think he'll be moved, so no reason to debate that one.
Stats is too expensive.
Roy's UFA status is too much of a killer, so unless one of their 1sts is coming back as well, I can't see that happening.
Here's another question for Avs fans, in addition to the proposal, are you even willing to move duchene? For example, I get sick of these Getzlaf proposals, because there is no way in hell the Ducks can afford to let their franchise center go.
Ducks could go for other options that don't unclude 1st though. Maybe Brassard, Gagner, or possibily Filpulla?
After reading through the posts quickly it looks like you have a clear idea of what 2nd line centers you want and what ones are available. Why not just make the thread more specific with proposals for all the players that fit both categories of being available and who you would want?
@Duckstudd269 High levels of homerism there. Duchene would cost you a **** ton. Same for Pavelski who is a legit 1st liner on the wing or at centre. And no Habs wouldn't be adding to Plekanec for the pick. Unless by a little you mean a late pick.
I heard Gagner was a solid 2nd line center, he is a consistent 40 point guy. If you don't want him, may I suggest Brassard? He hit 40 points two years in a row now!

It doesn't sound like the Jackets have any interest in letting him go.

Figured Ducks would have to add more, but was trying to get an idea of how much. Also trying to see if they'd be more willing since they lack a 1st this year. Ducks would probably have to add, but that's not a horrible offer IMO. Holland is arguably Ducks best forward prospect, and if he was on a more popular team, he'd be ranked much higher.
Didn't want to get too into the Pavelski topic until we know SJ's fate. Some Shark fans were throwing around the idea that the team might do a small rebuild if they lose out early again, and many were mentioning Pavs. The 6th overall pick would certainly interest them. That discussion can wait though. SJ does well in playoffs, and the thought of moving Pavs will sicken people, if it doesn't already.
In the other thread, it was Habs fans saying they'd have to add to Plekanac, so there was my basis. Obviously it's debatable. Him being 30 when the next season starts though, will hurt his value IMO.

With all due respect to Oiler fans (being serious), Gagner isn't enough of an improvement of what we have to justify giving up the assets for. No way we move the 6th pick for him.
Ok I'm not really interested in Gagner and Roy's contract kind of eliminates him. Anyone esle?
Roy is signed to 1 more season at 4 million. If Buffalo were offered a deal from ANA I would assume it's Roy, with a contract extension at the same amount for an additional 3 seasons and a 1st and 2nd rounder this draft.

Rather have Plekanec. Cheaper because I guarantee Roy is getting atleast 5.5, Cheaper in the cost to acquire.
Also Roy is actualy making 5.5 next year not 4. Cap means nothing to the Ducks. Its all about cash.
If Statsny is a no with his contract, what makes you think Grabo with his would be a deal?
Because Grabo makes about $1.1M less than Stastny?
Anyway, as the talent level of aplayer increases so will his salary (generally). If you are looking to get a guy like Kopitar, but want his salary to only be $3M or something, good luck with that. Any players that are signed to sweetheart cheap deals are nearly impossible to pry away form their teams (Burrows, Kesler, Perry etc)
I'm sorry no, I would not do plekanec + both 2nds for your first, I'd do plekanec and a third or plekanec and weber/diaz, possibly plekanec plus nashville if they finish late enough but trading both 2nds and plekanec for the 6th is a trade that heavily favors the ducks
Plekanec, is one of the most defensively responsible centers in the game and giving him away basically seals the habs fate for next season, (look at our pk). However I like the idea of getting Rielly/Reinhart/trouba it would couple in well to the rebuild theme. Draft Galchenyuk, Draft Trouba,
Subban-Trouba
Beaulieu-Tinordi
Price
Galchenyuk-Pacioretty and Desharnais are nice offensive pieces
Is a fine little core to build around and with defensively responsible players like Eller and Leblanc anchoring the third line, but by doing this your pretty much setting fire to the season and it be safe to assume that your probably getting a top five pick next year as well.

ok. We have a base for the deal, Pleks for the 6th. Lets just stop there because we are never going toi agree on the "+" lol.
No, can't include both 2nds. That would be robbery, Plekanec is a great #2 center. Both those 2nds would get Habs a #1 pick. Plus Timmins has his eye on a couple of homerun type longshots with those picks. We'll do Plekanec and Bourque for 6th overall?
