Remember how tightly the last game was called...let's just say it's not the same sort of officiating this game. Unfortunately, Nashville has a lot more class than Detroit.

Pekka's just off tonight though. Neither of those goals should have scored.

weren't we just discussing the consistency here? or was that somewhere else? it's so annoying.

edit: sooo....looks like Bert is getting the credit with a momentum shift fight.

It was here (might have been a different thread). It's obnoxious.

If Detroit keeps playing like this for the rest of the series, they'll get swept.

Huh?

You're kidding, right? He's the reason why it's not 8-2 or something.

That was weird, Quincey high sticks a Nashville player, there's blood gushing out of his nose, but it's just a single minor?

In case we haven't mentioned it, Jose has been solid tonight. He makes a big save to keep it 3-2 with 1:42 left.

That's the Philly I know and love.

Couterier AND Giroux with hatty's. Giroux with a Philly team record 6 points in a single game.

Not who I expected to no-show, but it's looking like Fleury is pulling a Lou-quality meltdown.

Man when you look at how good Coturier is turning out to be and how vorachek has played pretty well, you just have to think that CBJ made a huge mistake in trading their pick for Carter.

Seeing how well Carter alone did for the BJ's was bad enough.

Given that they gave up a guy who can find his way into Philly's top-6 and plays on their PP a bunch (and should've been an anchor of the BJ's top-6)...

AND Couturier...

AND their terrible draft history...

AND their terrible free agent signings (Wiz's contract, anyone?)...

How does their GM have a job, again?

yeah, plus the penalty that lead to the 2nd shortie for kings was a dive, i mean this team is doing everything but playing hockey.

I just love that they're getting outplayed by the 8th seed. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Or that could be the alcohol.

Nucks trying to be tough, when in reality, they have no identity. They coasted in the division and by the looks of it, feel that they deserve a first round bye as a reward for winning the President's Trophy. News flash, ya morons! You have to earn each 16 wins to the Cup. It doesn't matter what you did in the regular season or who is on your roster. It's how hungry you are. How smart you are. And right now, you guys are as organized as Courtney Love.

The Canucks without Daniel are nothing special.

So my SCF picks are both down 0-2 at home. Great.

What a crazy night.

Florida almost comes back on Jersey.

Philly and Pitt have a damned barn burner.

Nashville does everything right except score.

And Luongo and the Nucks usual playoff choke job has come a few rounds early this year.

Gonna be a really interesting playoffs.
