Yes, the Red Line takes you right to Wrigley as well.

I'm all about the brown line. Yea, the red line pretty much would always get me closer to where I'm trying to go, but its way too mainstream. Its all about being convenient-adjacent. Brownline has that locked up.

The Red Line runs right through the middle of everything. Like a hockey rink. Coincidence....I think not.

How much is a subway ride? How much is a daily unlimited card?
As far as keeping track of buses/trains and planning routes around the city the website goroo.com is super helpful in giving directions and departure/arrival estimated times between exact addresses or chicago landmarks.

No it doesn't. It gets you to Lincoln Park and is right by DePaul. If you want to take a bus after you get off sure, but it doesn't "get you there.". There are probably 4 stops on the blue line within shorter walking distance.

Who cares though I guess.

like i said, brown line is convenient-adjacent. gets you near a bunch of places you might want to go, but there's always closer options.

Really, some of you have no concept of Chicago neighborhoods. It's amusing at this point.

i think I've taken the brown line 3 times. once on accident when i was really drunk, once when i happened to be close-ish to a stop and needed to get dt to take metra and a 3rd time on a whim. 2/3 times it was real poor decision making.

Portillos and Als are the best for Italian beefs. I didnt realize they had one on 601 W Adams which is close to your hotel.

Several hot dog places. Cant go wrong with Portillos or Hot Dougs (rated 1, 2 on Yelp). Hot Dougs is 3324 N California so its couple miles west of Wrigleyville if you plan to go to that area but its relatively far from Clark street to California. Wrigley Field is Addison and Clark.

0 North/South (Madison street) and 0 East/West (State street) is the intersection of Madison and State streets.

I havent used mass transit since high school.

edit: Hot Dougs map

Thanks for the heads up. I definitely need places that are close to the hotel or a short train ride away on the CTA rapid transit system.

Why is it that a mega city like Chicago does not have 24 hour complete subway service?

The blue line and red line both run 24 hours and also happen to be the only lines that go underground.

not sure where IU lives now, but we're from the same area so that would be his train too.
