Garth Snow is known to have been seeking a trade partner for the Isles first round pics over the last few years, for the right price. So, the Islanders are in desperate need of a top 4 d-man and a a top 6 forward that can be utilized as a winger for Tavares. So i ask, if your team wanted to move up into the 4th spot in the draft, what would you offer? Note: I know that the Isles could easily possibly choose Murray or one of Grigorenko or Galchenyuk, but i'm interested in any other proposals.
I am sure PHI management is thinking about just that ...
The cap hit of top picks is already 3.75M. If they get 5M contracts, only 1.25M is to the hit. We have plenty of contracts expiring after 2 yrs (Hemsky, Belanger, Eager), 3 yrs (Horcoff) to offset the raises.

What's been Snow's trade demand at each of the last two drafts ?:1 young player, who's upside is similar to the prospects still on the draft board.
Snow is not looking to trade away a potential star for a few solid pieces. So,unless someone like Subban or say a Gormley is headed to LI,I don't see Snow moving his first.

"We'll go into the draft and free agency with the same mind-set we've had: We'll try to improve the team any way we can, but within the framework of our game plan," Snow said Sunday. "I don't envision any big changes. We have one of the top prospect pools in the league and our core is a good, young group. It's about taking the next step with that core we have."
"Obviously, consistency was our biggest issue. But it's a matter of maturity with the young group at the core of the team.
2013 1st and Gardiner for your 4th overall. I'm not sure if I'd do this as a leaf fan though.
I fixed it for you.Snow likes mobile, strong skating defensemen.
Snow had reservations about Schenn's upside at the 2008 draft, which is why he didn't draft him.Schenn's struggles have not raised his value and two yrs of Lupul aren't a big deal.
i dont think the Isles want another slow footed dman though.
if they did i would do Schenn + Kulemin + 35th overall ... definitely NOT Lupul
Snow's not giving Burke a quality for quantity deal. There is not one appealing piece in your proposal
That includes Lupul, who you don't want dealt. He's a ufa in July 2013.The isles with their budget restrictions, would want 1 young star or potentail star, several yrs from becoming a ifa.

From the Leafs POV I'd say Schenn has the value of the 10-12ish pick. Kulemin + 35th is enough to move up 6 spots imo.
I stated before that the Isles won't do it. But that's what I offer.
We won't trade Lupul for minimum value because of what value he has to you. To use he's a top line PPG winger who is good at everything. Guy is awesome on the ice and with the media. Don't want to give him up.
Kinda a huge difference. Nice try though. If the oilers can stay healthy and with yaks added to the lineup. Tambo just has to make some moves in the summer to help out with the D. Typical leafs fans jealous Again. Oilers will make playoffs before the leafs. Mark my word
Wisniewski, Calvert, and #30. Get you a 45-50 point defender, a top 9 forward (should be ready this coming year or 1 more year in minors), and a 1st/2nd round pick. I doubt this is good enough but I think Wisniewski has a lot of value because of what he brings to the table offensively and he isn't to bad anymore in his own zone.
