Assuming that Ryan Murray is available at #3, would the Isles offer something to the Habs to move up to select him (to satisfy their current and future needs)?

From the Leafs POV I'd say Schenn has the value of the 10-12ish pick. Kulemin + 35th is enough to move up 6 spots imo.
I stated before that the Isles won't do it. But that's what I offer.
We won't trade Lupul for minimum value because of what value he has to you. To use he's a top line PPG winger who is good at everything. Guy is awesome on the ice and with the media. Don't want to give him up.
Dunno what else a guy like Lupul has to do to get some people's respect around here... the guy was only an all-star this year....
There isn't one other all-star that anyone here would even try to combine with Schenn to say (not the 1st but) its equal value to the 4th overall pick.
Laughable. Kulemin +35th is good value to get into the 10-15 spot IMO.
receive #4 overall and 4th rounder (Acquired from Buffalo)
receive #5 overall and #35 overall
In a certain draft scenario, this could allow Burke to get Grigs or Gally, while the Islanders can take a defensemen like Murray, Dumba or Reinhart. The Islanders could then use their back to back picks at #34 and #35 to get back into the first round.

That type of trade is quite likely I think, give or take a pick or two. but it all depends on who is off the board by then.
Wisniewski, Calvert, and #30. Get you a 45-50 point defender, a top 9 forward (should be ready this coming year or 1 more year in minors), and a 1st/2nd round pick. I doubt this is good enough but I think Wisniewski has a lot of value because of what he brings to the table offensively and he isn't to bad anymore in his own zone.
Isles traded for Wiz when Streit was out for the season. He was very shaky in his own end of the ice and the isles balked at giving him the big payday he wanted.
No way would the isles want him back on the contract he's gotten or as the key piece to dealing 4th overall.

Id do this.....
Its one spot down and with that extra 2nd we have a better shot at THROWER

The biggest surprise about Snow's 2012 trade deadline, was that he didn't make some moves, acquire extra picks.
He does like shifting around his 2nd/3rd round picks, getting late 1sts

Kind of like the Habs need a big center, to satisfy their current and future needs
Something around Jay Bousmeester + you can have Comeau back and Calgary's 14th overall pick. People say jay has negative value when he really doesn't. Puts up big minutes and plays a solid shutdown role and maybe given a chance in NYI he might rediscover that offesive touch!
I'd like the Isles to trade this pick and the Toronto scenarios are both fine if the Isles think TOR want another guy than them. However I'd prefer the pick to be moved for an established top 4 guy with years left on his deal who'll provide some immediate help on the blueline.
Actually I have no idea if this is a stupid thought but what about Braydon Coburn and PHI 1st for the 4th overall?? Maybe trading inside the division isn't the best solution, but something along these lines is what the Isles should be looking for methinks.

Jay is a $6.6m defensemen who does not hit, does not rack up points and does not block a lot of shots. He does log a lot of mins and is 2 yrs from unrestricted free agency,.
Thanks but,no thanks.
And the isles have replaced Comeua and his $2.5m salary with the younger, cheaper Casey Cizikas. No interest in having him come back.
Do you think he will be taking a paycut to stay in Calgary?I can't see him getting a qualifying offer at. $2.5m

Comeau will definitley take a pay cut because for one he is not worth the 2.5 million, nor will the flames pay him that much. He didn't pay bad though for us this year, I like what I saw and hope he is kept around for next year.
