My stupid idea

Ok so i kno this is a stupid idea, but i still want to share .

Ok so the plan is to aquire a team full of badass's. Just guys with no offenceive ability, we put them in the minors all year, then we call all. 8-9 of them up in the playoffs. Basically we forfit game 1 of the playoffs, but these guys just go out and beat the trash out of the other team all game. Not play dirty or anything(ok maybe alittle bit) and just make life hell for the other team. They go out and fight hit and beat the snot out of the other teams stars so they cant play 100% the rest of the series. So what do you say sound like a plan?

It makes absolutely no sense. No coach in their right mind would bench that many star players or regulars for goons purely to beat up on the other team. The league wouldn't allow it. There would be fines and sanctions galore. I cannot even begin to explain how much this would not work.

Even goons have to have some skill if they want to cause any damage to a professional skater. When's the last time you saw someone knock Pavel down? Lidstrom?

Nah. Burke would be the one complaining the the media after making a personal decision to not play them and then blame the NHL for the decision that he made.

Sure they would, if it was done against the Wings. If they won't suspend Weber then who knows what they would allow. League is a joke!

Yes, take a decision you don't agree with and use it as justification for the most ludicrous idea I've seen people consider. If these players actually went out with the intent to injure another team's players, there would be bans from the league and police investigations for premeditated assault.

It wouldn't work to scratch that many star or regular roster players. The rules prevent it.

I don't really know why I'm arguing. There are pages upon pages that I could type about how absolutely stupid this is, but for one to suggest and then believe it... there's no point.
