Vrbata is day-to-day. No word on if he's dealing with upper or lower body injury. He's just "day-to-day."
Does anybody know the context of the too many men. There was 6 guys there, but was one of them going back to the bench? It was a blown call for sure, but it wasn't like all six dudes were in the offensive zone. Not nearly the same level as Briere being given a breakaway.
I got you now. Usually there is one. Not really sure what to say to that.
Edit: It's there, the crowd was just too damn loud lol.
This is what I'm thinking. The crowd was great tonight. While I feel for fans of the Thrashers, I must say that I'm glad it was them and not the Yotes that got moved.
Just set the DVR to record the replay at midnight tonight. I'll be watching this a couple times before Saturday night I'm sure.
I set my DVR to record it, but thanks to the Sharks game going into overtime, TSN decided to put it on TSN2. Then when the Sharks game ended, they switched it back to TSN1. Argh!
I wonder if anyone would be good enough to put up a torrent of the game somewhere?
I was in a bar with my buddies and surrounded by mostly Blackhawks fans. It felt great to leave with the win. Awesome game, great start, now lets get the next one.
A gander at the Hawks threads leads me to think that our team played like crap and the Hawks lost it for themselves with even worse play. They blame Q and a few of the players.
During the game it was clear that the Hawks were bothered by the hitting. They shied away a bit. The Hawks clearly have the skill, but they can be taken with hard play and good positioning.
We played a great game in our own end with our positioning. If we continue to play like tonight we can take this series in 5 or 6.
As has been mentioned a bunch, Pyatt played his best game as a Yote at the exact right time. All is forgiven.
The team laid down and died in that 6-5. I wasn't as mad as I thought I'd be though.
Smith made the huge saves but IMO looked a little shaky. Can't argue with only 2 goals in 3+ periods though.
Yandle mostly blew ass. Couldn't keep the puck in, passed it to Blackhawks more than Coyotes, and was mesmerized by Chicago puck handling. I think his problems are 100% mental. Needs a good sports psychologist or a kick in the nuts from Torres. Not sure which.
That shift where Pyatt scored was probably the best sustained pressure I've seen out of the Tippet Coyotes.
Crowd was great, Blackhawk fans are actually personable so props there.
LOVED Klesla's aggression through the whole game.
I want to see better shot blocking. Too many shots got through I thought could have been easily blocked. Could have been the patience on the Chicago shooters part but they also need to have more active sticks on D anyway.
Doan was solid though not outstanding like years past. Played a ton of minutes.
Korpikoski seemed to be one of the only guys consistently skating hard at the Hawks and doing so successfully.
Chicago is scary good from behind the net.
Not sure if Tippet and Co pulled out plan B in the second or if the Coyotes finally just kicked it in gear but either way it was like 2 different teams.
